This is a lovely home in a beautiful setting, but maybe best enjoyed in seasons other than winter. Our Christmas stay here was pretty rough - not entirely the fault of the host, but we had to leave a day early. We arrived in 20 degree weather. The heat did eventually keep up, but signs posted in the inside the home had erroneous information about the use of the wall heating/cooling units, and that took some time to sort out and warm the place up initially. The place was big enough to accommodate our 6 guests and the bedrooms were nice, but there wasn't enough seating for meals. The lake and fire pit are probably wonderful when you can enjoy them.We did appreciate being able to bring our pet, enjoyed the kitchen, and were grateful for tissue boxes in the bedrooms. A rare touch!A snowstorm dumped about 8 inches the first night and the hilly driveway wasn't plowed until 2 days later. We spent the second day shoveling out, but one of our guests couldn't make it down the driveway and had to go elsewhere. The next day we woke to frozen pipes and no water, and our host couldn't find a plumber to come till the following day.Our host was fairly responsive, but unable to help resolve our biggest issues (snow removal and restoring running water) in a timely manner. Requests to get early check-in because of the impending storm went unanswered. The management company, Evolve, never replied to messages left on the app.
