Marjon Peak Retreat Wanaka

Sophisticated and luxurious, with spectacular mountain views and boasting a prime location, this 4 bedroom home is the perfect setting for your next holiday! Complete with a spacious open plan living room and additional media room, superb outdoor entertaining with pool, spa, gorgeous bedrooms and modern kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms, it’s just the ticket for a terrific getaway just a 5 minute drive from Wanaka Lake foreshore.

Beautifully designed with style and comfort uppermost in mind, this holiday home excels in every way. You’ll love the sense of space and serenity, and those views are to die for!

The open plan living area is stunning with vaulted ceilings, a white palette and skylights as well as vast glass sliding doors ensuring a light and bright space. The luxe kitchen is well-equipped with high end appliances. It includes a coffee making nook with Nespresso machine and a wine fridge underneath. Stools at the bench and a nearby window seat provide sociability while you cook up a storm. The dining suite sits nearby with seating for 8. A comfortable designer sofa and armchairs are in prime position in front of the gas fireplace (only available June to September) and smart TV, but your eyes are bound to be drawn to the stunning views from outdoors. Heat pumps are available in the lounge for your comfort when the gas fire is unavailable.

Glass sliders ensure a seamless flow to the covered alfresco entertaining space with its outdoor seating, wood burning fireplace and jacuzzi. Beside you beckons the sparkling pool with sun lounges and an area of garden laid to lawn. This outdoor area is a perfect space to wow guests or make memories with your family.

Note: Spa use is included in your booking for stays June 15 to September 30. The spa is available outside of these winter months ON REQUEST at an EXTRA CHARGE. Please advise us if you wish to have the spa included in your stay, outside of the winter dates specified. The spa MUST BE requested 10 days prior to your arrival & paid for 7 days BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL DATE. The spa is NOT AVAILABLE on any instant bookings arriving within a 96 hour period of booking. The heated pool is available November 1st to March 31st ONLY

The separate media room with modular sofa and a large smart TV is perfect for kids to watch a movie or for a quiet space to read a book. It also has access to the garden.

The downstairs twin bedroom is generous in size and has built-in robes. There is a modern bathroom with a rain shower, vanity and toilet and an additional powder room. The laundry, with washing machine and dryer, is set in custom joinery in the large garage.

Upstairs are the remaining 3 bedrooms. The master is luxurious with a King bed and its own juliette balcony with stunning mountain views. The second also houses a King bed. Both have overhead fans and built-in robes. The third is a loft-style twin bedroom located above the garage with views from the large floor level window. All the bedrooms are beautifully appointed with premium linen. The modern main bathroom is equally well fitted out with a rain shower, vanity and toilet.

Air-conditioning/heat pumps ensure comfort year round. There is unlimited fair use WiFi and a Sonos Sound System for your use. The garage can accommodate 1 car with 2 cars in front OR 1 car and a small boat. There is off street parking available for a larger boat also.

Please note, Airbnb does not consider infants to be guests (when counting numbers) and will allow you to book this property if any infants accompanying you take your guest numbers to higher than 8 guests. Unfortunately, our council regulations prohibit us from exceeding this number, including infants. If you do book for more than 8 guests, infants included, we will unfortunately need to cancel your booking and you will need to incur any fees we get charged.

You will have access to the entire property during your stay.

We are available to answer any questions via our Guest Portal DUVE. We leave guests alone during their stay but are on hand if required. I live locally and Im only a stones throw away. If there is something that requires attention during your stay, we will be able to attend within approximately 30 minutes.

Wanaka is an enchanting holiday destination, set on the southern side of Wanaka Lake. Marjon Peak Retreat is in a newly developed part of Wanaka, just 5 minutes’ drive from Wanaka town centre. Wanaka provides a wealth of cafes and restaurants, from fine dining to delicious pub food. For a spot of retail therapy there are several boutique stores and plenty of places for food shopping.

The lake’s backdrop is picture-perfect with stunning mountains framed by beautiful trees. Walks along the foreshore are a must. Water activities on offer include paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and boating. Take a lake cruise or a scenic helicopter flight, try your hand at heli-skiing or perhaps a jet boat ride up the mighty Clutha River.

For the adventurous and more active, a walk to Rob Roy Glacier in the stunning Mt Aspiring National Park or a scenic mountain bike ride might appeal. To entertain the children a visit to Dingleburn Safari and Puzzling World with its maze and illusion room could be on the cards. Wanaka's 2 quirky unique movie theatres are worth a visit too.

Lakefront picnics, or lunch and a tour of the local vineyards should all be on your list and in winter, hit the slopes just a short drive away at the local ski fields: Cardrona, Treble Cone or the Snow Farm. Wanaka's airport is 9km away and Queenstown's airport is only an hour’s drive via the stunning Crown Range. Queenstown also offers a vast array of bars, eateries, shops, vineyards and other activities.

Enter Wanaka on Hwy 84, turn left into Riverbank Rd, right into Orchard Rd, right onto Cardrona Valley Rd, right into Avalon Station Rd, right into Deans Dr, left into Marjon Drive. The home is the second last home on the far right (if looking at the home, looking towards the lake)

Once your booking is confirmed, you will be directed to our guest portal DUVE. Prior to check-in, you will be required to complete an identity check by scanning your drivers licence/passport and credit card before being provided with your arrival instructions. This provides security for the owners of the property so they are comfortable that you are who you say you are and you have the documents to prove it (similar to a hotel check-in procedure). We do not charge your card, nor does it get stored by our system, you are welcome to block out all, except the last 4 digits on the card, but please note that our Guest Portal DUVE has the highest level of PCI compliance available. This process is necessary due to the fact that we have a self-check-in system.
