Escape to the peace and beauty of Wainui Valley Rural Retreat, just 10 minutes from stunning Ōhope Beach. Our adults-only cabins are designed for relaxation and connection, with sweeping rural views, private outdoor baths under the stars, and plenty of space to unwind.

Wake to birdsong, stroll through the gardens, or set off directly from our driveway onto some of the Bay of Plenty’s best cycle trails. After a day of adventure, head into Ōhope to enjoy its beautiful beach and excellent restaurants. For the thrill-seekers, we also work with a local helicopter operator to arrange breathtaking flights over the coastline.

Each of our three cabins is separated by lush New Zealand native bush, ensuring complete privacy. You may also be greeted by our free-range chickens, a pair of friendly cows, or Bo our golden Labrador who loves to say hello.

From your large deck, or even from the bath you can soak in both the sunrise and the moonrise as they paint the valley with light. If you’d like to mingle, our common room offers comfy chairs and classic games to share. And if you’re celebrating a special occasion, let us know, we’d be delighted to add an extra touch to make your stay even more memorable.
