Waimanalo Beach is like an island to itself, it is also easily connected to the famous Waikiki beach and resort town, for surfing lessons, movies on the beach and concerts in the Park. Just a 30 minute drive along the scenic eastern coast! Go the opposite direction 30 minutes and you are at Pearl Harbor via H3 Freeway or the airport, or the swap meet. A fun place to buy all your souvenirs at very reasonable prices. Try a chilled coconut drink, a unique taste that grows on you.

While in Waimanalo be sure to get up early and see the sunrise, a spectacular event! Full Moon, enjoy watching the Moon rise from the Sea, quite lovely. Try the Makapuu trail, out to the lighthouse for a Full Moon event or a sunrise walk and see the dolphins jumping at dawn on some days. They appear when They want to!
