"The cabin is cozy and comfortable, surrounded by woods, peaceful and quiet. A sample of the owner's/manager's responsiveness: we reported that we couldn't find the lid to the coffee pot. A few hours later, there was brand new coffee pot at the door. (There was no urgency; the Keurig worked fine.) Great location too. Townsend is closest to the national park without the tourist mayhem or towns like Gatlinburg. I highly recommend the Yellow Door Cabin. (I'd love to get back there for fall...

"Everything was great. Paved driveway all the way to front porch which was excellent for the motorcycle. Went out to dinner and left house keys at cabin. The host was able to quickly help us out. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone!! Very peaceful and quiet. "

"This is our 3rd year staying in the cabin & it is perfect for us. The cabin is always clean with plenty of supplies. It's close enough to town so it's not bothersome to run in if we need something or want to go to dinner. Suzette is a fabulous host. She is extremely quick to respond to messages. This cabin is so comfortable. We feel at home here with plenty of space. We love sitting on the front porch (especially in the mornings) watching the clouds lift from the mountain). Very peaceful! "

"Had a wonderful family vacation at this beautiful cabin located on Fontana Lake. This place has it all. Very family friendly. The host is prompt at replies and communicates well. The open concept on the main floor was awesome for our family. There are so many amenities and we enjoyed them all including the kayaks, hot tub, sauna, ping pong, pool and poker table. One of our favorite memories was spending time on the pontoon with our family. Breath taking views on the lake. So many memories made...

"We came to Townsend to celebrate our 32 wedding anniversary and this home did not disappoint. We were minutes from restaurants and things to see and do. We also saw a momma bear and her 2 cubs from the back porch! I also give the lady that owns this home a 10/10 as well. I will definitely be back again! This review is coming from someone who has stayed in over 75 or more rentals over the years. "

"Serene. Beautiful views. Incredible star gazing. Lazy Elk is 4-5 miles from the nearest through road. The last two miles are on a well maintained gravel driveway. This guarantees privacy and quiet. We spent hours on the deck without hearing a man made sound (except for occasional hot tub and air conditioning). At night we counted satellites and watched shooting stars. Mornings we watched the clouds form and rise right in front of us. At first we had trouble slowing down to natures pace but...
