Hale Mauka Volcano Village Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Volcano Hale Mauka welcomes you to a lovely private cottage nestled in the middle of the rainforest! Our house is very clean and well appointed. Hale Mauka offers you a place to come home and relax after a long day out exploring and playing.

Rates are for up to 4 guests. Do not exceed occupancy of 4.

SOAK in our 110 gallon tub for TWO with private rain forest views! Our tub is so insulated that it stays warm for hours! Who needs Jacuzzi or Spa? ..

Our two bedrooms are each appointed with comfortable beds. A California King Tempur-Pedic mattress in one bedroom and a queen size pillow top mattress in the other.

Enjoy that morning Kona coffee or glass of wine in the evening on the Lanai outside while enjoying the sounds and magic of the rainforest.. You won't see anything but huge fern trees and many birds and our local Kalij Pheasants when you sit on our Lanai!

We have an amazing fireplace to take the chill from the house on those chilly rainforest evenings, and we supply a starter amount of firewood. Enjoy the Smart TV that you can watch your favorite Netflix, Prime etc. movies. We also have a few DVD movies to choose from if you just want to just chill at home. Three sky tubes in our ceiling offer moonlight or sunlight into the kitchen and living room for ambient lighting.

The Village and National Park are less than 3 miles away. You can also explore our artist community and dine at some ono (tasty) restaurants here in Volcano. Our kitchen here at Hale Mauka is perfectly set up with everything you will need to make that meal at home or use the outdoor gas grill. Our dining room that is almost completely glass with views of the beautiful rainforest!

It really just doesn't get any better then Volcano Hale Mauka!!

We enjoyed our stay at your well appointed home. It is ideally situated for dinner at some nice redoing Volcano Village and of course easy access to volcano national park. Make sure to dine at the Rim restaurant in the park, the view alone makes the trip worthwhile, and the food for breakfast was fairly priced and delicious

My entire family loved staying at this house, with its wide porches and gorgeous decor, nestled in the jungle. At night, we could hear the sounds of the jungle, snug and cozy inside the home. Volcano was much colder than we realized, and the wood stove came in handy. The porch allowed us to enjoy the view protected from the areaā€™s intermittent fine mist. It was truly lovely.

Exactly as described. Very quiet (except for the coqui, neighborhood dogs when bothered by feral pigs, and the roosters at dawn). All quite pleasant for the setting and highly recommend! The location is perfect for exploring HI Volcanoes National Park and not a bad day trip for visiting Hilo proper or more Southern parts of the island. On the occasional rainy day, there were plenty of things to do inside--play games, cards, stream movies, or play DVDs. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances needed to cook, and clean up was easy with the dishwasher. The washer and dryer was super convenient. The porch was a nice place to sit in the morning. Mahalo.

Lovely home close to National Park. It was very clean and welcoming and an ideal locale for exploring Volcano and Puna area. Close enough to Hilo if you donā€™t mind a bit of an (easy) drive. House itself has a great covered wraparound porch for coffee in am and relaxing at end of day; listening to birds and light rain noises- with the occassional barking of dogs. We took advantage of the mix of DVDs in the evening, as well as the guitar. Kitchen has everything you need in terms of pots, pans, dishes, glasses and cooking accessories, for cooking and dining. Lovely dining area in a screened in porch. We stayed 3 nights which was perfect. Highly recommend.

Amazing property! Huge wrap around lanai, with dining area and gathering spaces, big windows tons of light, cozy interior, well stocked games and entertainment closet, extremely comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen- stocked with cooking tools and servewareā€¦modern lighting, wood stove, felt safe, the list goes on! We really enjoyed our stay in your quiet little jungle home. Perfect location for exploring the volcanoes and not too far from Hilo. The only suggestion we would have is to be able to have bins that you can place recyclables, cans, bottles, etc.

Such a beautiful home. Great location. Well equipped. It was so relaxing to get a fire roaring at night and enjoy a glass of wine after the kids went to sleep. Would book this home every time we visit Volcanoes National Park.

Very cute place in the rain forest! Bring your own oil and any spices you need. There were a few spices only, probably left by guests. A great grill. And wonderful bidet!

This home was very clean. It was comfortable and nice. Location is good, private, quiet. It got cold in the morning. No heat or A/C. The fireplace would have been nice but when we arrived no fire starter or kindling. Only full size logs. We noticed that at 6:30am our first morning, when we were cold and wanted a fire. They dropped off the supplies on the porch that night at 9:30pm. Not very prompt.

Quick drive to park entrance. Quiet, private setting. Comfortable and well-appointed! Rained our entire stay in Volcano, but inside was cozy, and wood-burning stove was much appreciated. Would stay again!

Easily the coolest vacation rental we have stayed at. Exceeded our expectations in all aspects. The place was super clean and had a warm feel inside and out. The fireplace is magical and makes the house nice and toasty. We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you for making our Volcano stay better than we could have imagined!!

They truly considered every detail in the rental for what you would need for your stay. I'd definitely choose to stay here again, and the bidet was a particularly nice feature to have.

Stayed here 3 times. First time with this manager. We love so much about it! Close to everything, private. ( not too quiet but the manager cannot control that). Great temperature, deep deep tub, huge tv, relaxing sofa, super mattresses. We could go on and on. We love this house!

Such a great house, perfect for visiting Volcanoes National Park, Keaau, Pahoa and Hilo. We were here for 5 nights, which is a good, long time. Very secluded and jungle-y feel, the house was extremely cozy and welcoming after long and full days. But one day my mother in law stayed in while the rest of us went out, and she was extremely happy. Would highly recommend.

This house was EXACTLY what we were looking for and needed. The location was great for our trip to Volcanoes National Park and Mauna Kea. We also took day trips to some other locations. While the house was more of a place to rest and relax and we spent more time away from the house than in it, the house fit our needs perfectly. Peaceful, clean, very comfortable sleeping arrangements, and a great DVD selection!
