"My wife and I used to live down the street. We never knew how nice the lodge is and how amazing the restaurant is. Honestly we would have gone there to eat all the time if would have even known it was there. It is the best restaurant in the area by far. Their omelettes are big and very flavorful, but the burger was probably the best burger I have had in a very long time. My wife loved the chicken pimento cheese egg rolls. "This was the perfect space for a winter wonderland getaway. Gorgeous sunrises could be viewed from the balcony or from the comfortable bed. Every detail supported a cozy, warm retreat from the natural, welcoming aesthetics of the lodge to the carefully chosen decor of the room. Although the snow and ice impacted the ability to hike nearby trails, the grounds offered regularly plowed roads conducive to walking safely through the snowy landscape of the beautiful property. "Beautiful lodge. Every interesting room. The mattress is horrible. My husband and I had a hard time sleeping on it and woke up numerous times. The bathroom overhead light does need to be cleaned, lots of bugs. We enjoyed the beautiful lodge and the gorgeous setting. Thank you."
