Va Beach Northend Oceanside of Atlantic Ave
Comfortable ground floor apartment with two queen bedrooms and one room with bunk beds. Only one parking space. Kitchen inadequately equipped for cooking large family dinners. A few steps to the best beach on the entire east coast. House would benefit from new beach chairs and a good beach cart. A wonderful block with a neighborhood feel.

Our stay
We were not aware the rental was a multi-residence house but it was fine. The location to the beach was great. Unfortunately we only had a couple of good weather days to go to the beach.

Great location. Very nice place and very clean!!
We had two couples that visited the property. It was located close to the beach and was very easy to get to the beach. The house was very clean and nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back!!! Wendy was awesome to work with!!!!!!!!

Perfect stay!
Location, location, location! Away from the beach traffic and chaos-but close enough to enjoy it. Huge first level home-beautifully decorated. Love the use of the outdoor space. Easy walk to the beach- it was everything I could ask for. It felt like a seperate home - I would recommend the property to anyone looking for that “OBX” feeling in VB. Thanks so much- Laura

Great House & Amazing Location
The location and size of the property were exactly what we were looking for. If anything the beach was closer than expected, and was not very busy. The outdoor shower was great, and overall we were very happy with the stay.

Restful weekend
Overall very happy with the location property. The space is charming and beautifully decorated. There was enough space for our family to gather for family time and spread out when we needed to. It's a quick walk to the beach that is easy enough to carry a beach chair and umbrella without issue-but the owners supplied a beach wagon for days when we needed to carry more things (cooler, toys, extra chairs, etc). It was convenient that it was close to the more touristy parts of Virginia Beach while being secluded and quiet at the same time.

Palmer stay
My husband and I sent our daughter and family to Alaska as a Christmas present. They had an RV but I thought a night in a house would be a nice break. They raved about the views, and the beautiful details of the property. I think we’re going back next year and will be sure to book here!

Family beach vacation
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The hosts live above the rental. They were responsive, and when we saw them, they were kind and helpful. The location of the rental is great. It's in the residential area of VA Beach, so the beach itself isn't crowded, and the boardwalk is just a short drive away. The walk to the sand is very short, but the beach itself is very long--so walking to the water itself is a workout! The water was still pretty cold in early June, but our kids didn't mind (just the adults did!). The house itself accommodated our family (2 adults, 3 kids) well. It has an outdoor shower, 3 bedrooms, a family room, a large dining area, a big laundry room, and a small (but modern) kitchen. The kitchen only has the bare basics, and some of the finishings and furniture were in need of repair. For example, a lot of the blinds on the windows didn't close all the way, the pillows were very old and flat, the bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable (I'm not sure if it sagged in the middle?), and the bunk bed was very rickety. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and gave us easy access to the reason for our visit--the beach!

Very clean cottage and quiet neighborhood
Our overall stay was good. The cottage is very cleaned and well maintained. The place is located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. It is very close to the beach, which is quiet and not visited by too many people. It was great! Be aware that this is not a separate home, it is part of a house, and the owners live upstairs. They were very quiet, and we could not hear them. So, this was a plus. However, the posting on VRBO does not make that clear. We only learned that the cottage wasn't a separate entity when we spoke to the owner on the phone before getting there. The beds weren't comfortable to us. The jacuzzi tub was not functional.

This location was away from the crowded boardwalk. It was easy access to the beach, biking path and the state park. There was plenty of room for our group of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids).

Great for vacation, not for remote work
Cottage is the bottom floor of the host's family home and on the coast side of Atlantic, so a great location for a beach vacation. Home was well stocked with most creature comforts. We stayed for a month, so needed a base for remote work and found WiFi was unreliable and overall too slow for most streaming requirements. This included zoom meetings, streaming video or even the TV, which relied on WiFi. Hosts were responsive to our repeated txts on the issue, but it never got reliably better during our stay. So, definitely come with a backup mobile hotspot (not Sprint!) and don't plan on evening TV time.

Wonderful location Beach was almost private. Home was spacious for us. 3 adults,one child. Could use a few amenities. Bath mats or rugs. Kitchen was fine, but the ice maker didn't dispense ice. We would rebook.

Thank you for booking our cottage for your Thank you for booking our cottage for your vacation needs. The refrigerator had a defected ice maker which we did not know about until we went to purchase a replacement. We chose a different brand and are having no issues.

Family friendly needs furniture update.
We had a wonderful time with family celebrating a birthday! Bedrooms need dressers. One couch needs update, getting very mushy. Location is fantastic!

Nice Location, Management Needs Improvement
We arrived late in the evening. There were no sheets on the beds, nor were there any towels. The children's beds had blood stains. The next morning, I called the manager, and clean sheets and towels were brought over. Washing machine didn't work. Managers replaced it, but still didn't function properly. We left a day early, and I asked for a refund for the day, and manager did not respond. I would not stay here again.

Week on the north end of Virginia Beach
Great location on corner of main road and short street dead ending into beach access, we thought traffic noise might be a problem, but the house was surprisingly quiet inside, must be nicely insulated and we couldn't really hear it. I juggled my soccer ball in the driveway in the mornings and was never much traffic noise even outside. We were welcomed with fresh vegetables from the garden on the premises. We occupied the first floor of a three story home. The owners occupied the rest. Interacted mostly with Jamie and he was really nice - offered extra beach equipment from his personal supply. All the rooms were plenty spacious and the master bath with the jacuzzi had an extra separate shower. There was a little morning dog barking that woke my wife up (we're light sleepers - I was already awake) but not enough to keep us from returning on another trip to VB. Kitchen was setup with everything we needed to cook for ourselves when we didn't feel like going out. Far enough from the main boardwalk to have plenty of room on the beach even during the weekend, but close enough to drive there in minutes to get to restaurants and attractions - highly recommend.

Short stay
Our rental was adequate for the price for a couple of days. I would have liked to know in the description of the rental as a apartment style rental with the owners living upstairs before renting. I would have been disappointed if we rented for a week. And the bed has wheels on a wood floor, so you roll around every time you move. That being said, they were very accommodating and didn’t really bother us.

We really enjoyed our stay!
The cottage was very nice and spacious, the walk to the beach was short, the beach was remarkably uncrowded. We appreciated the location away from the crowded downtown area, but just a short drive to restaurants and shops.

Wonderful location! Perfect mix of quiet beach and activities nearby to enjoy.
The property was very clean and a good size for our family of four. The owner and family were very nice and everything was ready when we arrived. It was a quick walk down the street to the beach. We didn't want all the noise and traffic of the downtown area but it is only a five minute drive if you want to go out to eat or shop. Best of both worlds!

Very clean and great location for beach access
My family of four had a comfortable and enjoyable vacation at this location. The street was quiet and safe. The location was great for beach access. The beach front was clean and expansive enough to spread out and have some space to enjoy. The house is modestly furnished but very clean and comfortable. I felt there were the appropriate amenities for light cooking and clean up. Wifi and cable worked well which was important to our teenage boys. The Jones' were very nice and made sure that we had everything we needed. They were available for any questions we had. I would highly recommend this location for a relaxing family beach vacation.

Graduation trip
The location was great - away from the hotels/motels with a short distance to the uncrowded beach. Three days just wasn't quite enough. The only suggestion I would have is in the kitchen. The new appliances were good but it needs some sharp knives and at least a skillet or let renters know to bring their own.

Lovely Stay
A charming home with very accommodating owners. It looked and felt like a beach house, with the beach so close! We walked a mere three minutes and were in the water. The home is located in the north end, we loved being away from all of the noise at a quieter, less crowded beach.

Very impressed! Would stay again!
I rented this property for a weekend get-a-way for my family. Wendy was very professional with details of the home and was even willing to speak with me on the phone before booking the property! When we arrived, the property was ready for our stay! It was very clean, spacious, and perfect for the eight people in my family. We rode bikes down to the boardwalk and were able to use the beach chairs and cart that was provided to take to the beach. I loved that the access to the beach was a short 100 yard walk which helped with not having to worry about finding a place to park. This experience was definitely better than staying in a hotel! We were able to eat breakfast and lunch at the property with no hassle. It was so nice to be on vacation with the comfort of feeling at home. I would definitely rent this property again!

Close to beach! Comfortable rental in Northend
Good rental very close to the beach for a mid-size family. Comfortable furniture, plenty of seating and a well equipped, clean kitchen. Though we did not use the washer and dryer it was great to have the option to do so. Having beach chairs and an umbrella available for use was a definite plus. Two of the bedrooms are spacious with very firm mattresses. The third bedroom has a bunkbed with thick pads - great for younger/smaller children but not too comfortable for teens or older. Design, set-up and amenities are all well thought out - my only recommendation would be to have more options for hanging wet beach towels. The owner was great to work with and very responsive! Very easy check-in/check-out.

Great rental, great price
I cannot say enough good things about this rental. You get so much for your money! The bedrooms were all a great size and the location cannot be beat! Just a short walk down the street to the beach and it's located away from the hustle and bustle of all the hotels. Also, the owner was very accommodating and responsive to all my questions. Best place to stay on Virginia Beach, hands down!
