Great stay! This is our second time staying in one of the cabins. The morning views of the river from the deck can’t be beat.

Place is simple and cheap, could use some upkeep on building, door sticks and the water spigot for the sink drips and being held with duct tape. No bathroom just a portapotty to use. And watch out for the mice. It's a beautiful location on the west fork of the kickapoo River with access to the River.

Always a pleasure

We always have the best time here. The location is the absolutely best and the cabin is what you should expect for the very very reasonable price. I have stayed here maybe 5-6 times now, with kids & with friend and it never disappoints.

Scenic little hideaway

Contact was very helpful and responsive! Beautiful area right by the river. Very relaxing stay. Cabin is nice to get out of the elements and sleep for the night. Had a wonderful stay!

Trout fishing trip

Proximity to the creek is perfect and the central location to all the fishing areas is great. Nice to grill out and listen to the water bubbling.

I STRONGLY recommend you DO NOT BOOK!!!! We were given an address which did NOT match the description posted online!!!!!! We must have been given a different cabin. I was able to contact the host to check to see if a late check-in was ok. I received a quick response. I tried to reach the host several times after seeing the cabin provided didn’t match the description. There was NO response!! I wanted to settle this offline but did not have any response from the host after several attempts. The bedroom was located up an outside stairway. We opened the door and saw several beds lined up. NOT matching the photos on the description. We ended up driving 30 miles to find a hotel for the evening! I repeat! DO NOT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!

Blakley Hobbit small cabin

It’s perfect for one or two ppl that are in the area for hiking or fishing and don’t want to camp. It has everything you need and is right on the river. Incredibly peaceful stay, 15 min from Viroqua or Kickapoo Valley Reserve. It’s a great location right outside of Viola.

Blakly Hobbit House

This property is absolutely wonderful - it actually looks like a place hobbits would live. It's right next to a beautiful creek and has lots of open space with a fire pit. The house is definitely rustic - no frills but clean and very neat. LOVE this place!

Rustic cabin

We only stayed one night while visiting friends just down the road. It met our needs for the short time we were there but wouldn’t want to stay too much longer with no inside toilet or hot water. Otherwise, a quaint little cabin.Checking in ended up being super easy since everything was open and air conditioning was on but there was no communication prior to arriving. Didn’t end up being a problem.

Small, not fit for two people, photo was misleading, hard to find. Don’t advertise as a hobbit house. Couldn’t get hold of the owners. Sorry you guys, not any where near what advertised. Sorry.

Relaxed in Nature

Had a nice relaxing weekend in nature. The property overlooks a bubbling stream so the scenery was amazing!My only downside was that I had hoped it was a bit more remote/private, but there are other cabins not far away (maybe 200-ish feet?) Not a biggie if you don't mind the company though. :)Regardless; wonderful stay! Host made things simple/left instruction that were clear/easy to follow. Got a burger from the recommended spot and it was awesome! Cabin was adorable and again, overlooking the bubbling creek was lovely. Thank you!!!

Cute little cabin!

We found this cabin after a last minute search for a rental after finding out a wedding we were attending was farther from home than we thought, and I am so glad that we found this cabin! It’s the perfect size for 2 people and a dog! The view of the river from the porch is absolutely stunning, especially during fall when all the leafs on the trees were turning beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow! The manager is great at communicating and was so accommodating when we needed a little bit of an early check in to make it to the wedding on time as well! 10/10 I’d definitely recommend this cute little cabin to anyone thinking of booking it!

Great location but not overly comfortable

This location was beautiful, the river was lovely to watch and the deck and picnic table were great. However - porta potty was clearly not emptied regularly as it was VERY full and smelled awful. You could smell it over the bonfire smoke and in the cabin itself. Cabin wasn't very clean and sheets were rough and the bed was an older mattress on lift floor. The inclusion of a box fan was really helpful.
