Pretty 18th century house, full of charm and completely renovated, integrated into the small hamlet of Vindrac, it is located in a quiet area, opposite the church. Located 4km from Cordes sur Ciel, it is ideally located to combine tourism, with local shops, and nature with walking or cycling.
The house is vast, 160 square meters, with the alignment kitchen, dining room and living room with a very comfortable sofa installed in front of the fireplace, ideal for reading with a good tea. The 3 bedrooms are upstairs with 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets (one on the first floor).
The garden with its swimming pool (with restoration of the pool this spring 2022), its shrubs and trees is a real pleasure to rest, read or listen to the birds.
Vindrac is a very nice little hamlet dating from the Middle Ages with its magnificent church. The house "in front of the church" is in the heart of it! Local shops can be found in the village of Les Cabannes (2km) and Cordes-sur-Ciel (4km).
In Cabannes, there is the Primfrais grocery store, open widely and very well stocked, which offers bread and pastries. A small market with vegetable/fruit/fish/cheese/florist/honey/bread takes place every Wednesday morning. (free parking in Les Cabannes).
In Cordes-sur-Ciel, there are 2 bakeries, 2 small supermarkets, 1 organic grocery store, 1 pharmacy, other shops and many shops. The market is much bigger than in Cabannes, it's on Saturday mornings. (Be careful there is paid parking in Cordes sur Ciel, but it's very easy to go up or on foot to Cordes from Les Cabannes)
There is a very nice market in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val on Sunday mornings (about 25min by car). Saint Antonin Noble Val also offers some sports activities such as kayaking on the Aveyron, paragliding, caving, etc ...
Cabannes and Cordes-sur-Ciel are easily accessible on foot with superb paths (indicated on maps at home "in front of the church" or by bike, rentable in Cordes sur ciel, including electric ones, it is very appreciable in this "Tuscan" corner of the Tarn).
The beautiful city of Albi is 30 minutes away by car, don't miss to visit the cathedral, the garden and get lost in the small Italian-looking streets. Gaillac and its surroundings offer many wine estates to visit.
This region of Cocagne, also known as the little French Tuscany, will surprise and delight you.
Near the house "in front of the church", there are many hiking trails or short walks or bike rides. You can also easily ride donkeys or horses...
The medieval festivals take place around the 14th of July in Cordes-sur-Ciel. The tourist office is very dynamic, the hosts very friendly, without a doubt they will be able to answer all your questions!
Also to be discovered 20 minutes away by car are the villages of Najac (superb medieval castle to visit) and Laguépie (which offers nice swimming spots on the Viaur - one of which is supervised with a very fun inflatable device).
Toulouse is a 1-hour drive away, its airport is connected by shuttle to the main Toulouse-Matabiau station.
There is a train station in Cordes-Vindrac (which is 1km from the house), the departmental bus 702 then serves Vindrac in the quarter of an hour. There are 4 trains a day from Toulouse.
Then there is a train station in Gaillac or Albi (the departmental bus 702 connects Albi to Vindrac).
