The Perfect Escape with Gorgeous Heated In-Ground Pool

Relax at our newly remodeled home featuring 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom with HEATED IN-GROUND POOL with BRAND NEW LINER FOR 2026 and fun-filled backyard. Home is located 2 blocks from the Delaware Bay beach, perfect for amazing sunsets, walking with your dog or just taking in some sun. Only 10 minute drive to Cape May / Lewes Ferry and 15 minutes to Wildwood to enjoy the fun and crowds while staying in our little oasis in the quiet town of Villas. Use our free amenities to have fun at the local beach or just hang out at the 20' x 40' pool with outdoor shower, 4 lounge chairs and umbrella, stainless steel grill and dining table under gazebo or on Adirondack chairs surrounding our gas fire table and newly installed outdoor shower. Use our four beach bikes or beach cart with 2 boogie boards, umbrella and 4 beach chairs for easy beach fun. Cook a gourmet meal in our upscale kitchen featuring granite countertops, custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances including stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, toaster and drip coffee maker. Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking with utensils, spice rack and plenty of pots/pans and serving plates. If not into cooking, order in from one of many local restaurants, many offering delivery service. Wawa is close by as well. 55" Smart TV in den and 43" Smart TV in each bedroom. Wifi service provided as well. We provide all sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish detergent and starter coffee/tea, toilet tissue, paper towels and washing machine pods. Home is pet friendly with fully fenced in and private yard. Laundry room with large capacity washer/dryer and iron with board. Bathroom features shower/tub, make-up mirror and hair dryer. Home complete with central A/C and heat plus tankless water system for hot showers. There is a 1 car driveway with additional street parking.

POOL IS OPEN FROM MAY 1 - SEPTEMBER 30, weather permitting. We keep our pool unheated in July through mid-September and at 85 degrees the rest of the time. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT POOL HEATER IS AFFECTED BY UNUSUALLY COLD TEMPS AND HIGH WINDS WHICH COULD CAUSE LOWER WATER TEMPS AT TIMES. Many other homes with pools will charge an additional pool heat fee but we have priced into nightly rate.

The property was wonderful and would be absolutely perfect if the weather had been a bit better for us or during the summer when the temps are warmer. Only thing that was a bummer to us was that we couldn’t let the dog in the pool as it was clearly marked by the pool but not in the listing, we were hoping our dog could get some pool time during our stay. We still had a wonderful time and would recommend to anyone considering the area!

This was our 2nd time staying at the Perfect Escape and it was just as enjoyable. Peter and Alyce provide everything you could need, including a washer/dryer. The pool is big and heated, so even with the cooler weather, the water temperature was still comfortable. Besides the pool, my favorite part of the house is the outdoor shower. Unfortunately since my last stay, a residence was constructed near the rear of the lot, with the door/small deck overlooking the shower. I appreciate Peter updating the pictures to reflect this. We  rigged up a shower curtain from Dollar General as a makeshift roof to address the privacy issue. I'd love to see a permanent roof (that still allows light to come through) put on before my next stay, but no biggie to use a shower curtain again. The house is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Cape May, but there are still plenty of things to do (such as the Escape Room Cape May right down the road) and places to eat (Local Tavern and Taqueria Casa Mia) right in Villas/Lower Township. I highly recommend the Perfect Escape for both couples and families.

This house is perfect for a Cape May escape. It's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but still close enough to go into town easily. Being able to bring our dog along made all the difference, and the fenced in yard was perfect! This is our second time visiting the house because we love it so much. The rooms are beautiful and cozy and just as they appear in the pictures. The house is well stocked and of course the pool is our favorite. We may have started a new family tradition. Terrific hosts that are super responsive..thank you so much. We can't wait to come back.

It truly is a perfect escape! From time in the pool to a quick short walk to the bay, the time is well spent! For our second summer, we continued to love the amenities, the proximity to things we wanted to do and our host’s communication! Can’t wait to go back!

Came down to Cape May for my daughters' dance competition and found this amazing, DOG FRIENDLY, property. Host was communicative, house was immaculate! Considering this is a dog friendly house, the only hair that was around was my dog's. House is just the right size with an AMAZING back yard. Thank you so much!

Perfect pet-friendly escape

My husband and I had a great July 4 weekend at this pet-friendly property. It was exceptionally clean, the pool was the perfect temperature, and the short walk to the bay beach (where dogs are allowed before 11am and after 4pm) made it the ideal spot to relax with a pup in tow. Everything we needed for an stress-free summer getaway was right at our fingertips. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect Stay

What a wonderful week! Our stay was more than imagined. Peter and Alyce went above and beyond for their guests. Small details for our dog, comfortable beds, beautifully designed inside and fabulous backyard. Peter was so wonderful with communication. He also texted to let me know there was a pack and play and high chair for our 9 month old. Such a delightful stay, we will be back!

Simply fantastic!

The Perfect Escape certainly lives up to its name and so much more. The property is exactly as presented and the host Peter is attentive, gracious, and accommodating. Well equipped and adorable

Everything is so clean, lovely decorating and very well equipped. If you need something, it’s probably there! The pool is great, easy walk to the bay and less than 20 mins to both Wildwood and Cape May beaches. Super host! I lost my glasses during our stay and when he found them he mailed them to me. Perfect!

The perfect escape for sure - super beautiful and clean - the hosts are highly communicative - you will love the pool! My 7 and 9 year old did not want to leave - pet friendly as well - truly a gem and so close to the beach and the main areas in Cape May!

Truly the PERFECT escape

Cannot recommend enough!! Peter was attentive and the house was gorgeous. Pool was clean, towels provided. All the small things were thought of! There were even dog bowls provided for our pup! Very quiet neighborhood and only a short 15 min drive to everything.

Beach vacation away from the boardwalk

We really enjoyed the property. It was great to get away from the hustle and bustle of Wildwood when you were done for the day and relax by the pool. We used the house for a home base between going to Wildwood beach, boardwalk and doing activities in Cape May. Staying here you had a central location where you could go have a relaxing sunset on the bay beach or go for a busy night at the boardwalk.

Don’t Hesitate!

The Perfect Escape was the perfect getaway for my husband, myself and our fur babies. The host was prompt and courteous. The property itself was very clean and exactly as described. We enjoyed the patio and pool and the quiet neighborhood that was conveniently located. Plenty of local places to eat and not too far if you want to go to Cape May for a nice dinner. The beach was just a short walk and very clean. 10/10 would recommend.

Perfect Experience

Very welcoming and clean house for my family (2 boys and dogs). Pool was nice after a couple hours on the road and it was clean and nicely temped to jump right in. We enjoyed the boogie boards and chairs for the beach and the bay is very close for evening walks. Have been down to this area many times and this house was one of our favorite! Hope to be back next year with our newborn. Thank you for the perfect escape!!!

Summer Vacay Success

We usually stay in town each summer, but found this property on the bay to bring our family pet and have a pool to swim in when not at the beach! Kids and adults had a great time and house had everything we needed to enjoy our time in Cape May.

Beautiful getaway

It a beautiful cozy place, a big back yard with a pool. I enjoyed barbecuing and eating in the backyard. It’s a relaxing environment with a calming effect to your stay. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

The Perfect Escape

The Perfect Escape exceeded our expectations from start to finish. I spent some time looking for a pet friendly place within our budget. Most allow one dog and charge a pet fee. While I understand extra cleaning is required with shedding dogs and extra hair, our dogs are non-shedding and probably cleaner than us. It was so refreshing to see a place with no additional pet fee. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. There were little touches everywhere that were very much appreciated. Our favorite area was the back yard. It's indescribable. An abundant paradise with everything you'd want. We were there at the end of October and even able to use the heated pool some when the temp went up to the 70s. Peter, the host, was very accommodating we had a couple of requests and he went above and beyond. We will return. Thank you, Peter, for sharing your beautiful home with us.
