Authentic Log Cabin in Heart of the Mountains

Welcome to Willow Valley View

Willow Valley View, though centrally located and just a few minutes from Boone still offers privacy and exceptional mountain views. This home features a stunning all-wood interior, giving an authentic log cabin experience in a spacious and family-friendly home. It has an open floor plan with plenty of space, including two living rooms. Outdoors, you will find covered porches and a stone fire pit with ample seating.

Please note: This property has been updated since the virtual tour was recorded. The upstairs bedroom pictured with twin beds now has one twin-over-twin bunkbed and one twin-over-double bunkbed. The room details and gallery pictures are up-to-date and correct.

*Allows pets with an additional fee.

Access
- The approach to Willow Valley View is via a half-mile gravel mountain road.
- Winter Advisory: A 4WD is required in winter. Bring chains as a backup to ensure that you can reach the home safely in case of hazardous weather.

Son’s 18th Birthday

The place was exactly what we needed for our family to celebrate our sons 18th birthday and for our daughter who goes to App State be able to come too!! Would definitely stay again!

Everything we needed

The property was great, it had more than everything we needed for our family of 6 (plus some of my daughter's friends who needed a home cooked meal!). Would stay again for sure! Beautiful outdoor space.

Top of the Trees Peace

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful property with all the comforts of home. Feel like your a million miles away with amenities in town just 10 minutes away. The owners thought of everything you may need for your stay. One suggestion would be an additional strap on the hot tub cover to make it easier to close it. Can’t wait to come back to this little slice of heaven!

Could've been great!

First of all, the house was beautiful, the view was pretty and we had a good time with our family. But, the house was not clean, the tables were dusty, especially the lower shelves, the floors had not been swept well at all, the showers were not very clean either. We were disappointed in the overall cleanliness. We actually went straight in and had to start cleaning the floors so our 16 month old grandchild would not pick up things like the left behind crumbs and game peices under the edge of the couch! We also had a problem with the passcode entry process, Our code did not work, not even from the office when they tried it there. We were told to use the master key until they could text us a new code which I never received at all. Not even a follow up call or text the entire time of the stay. So, we were very disappointed with our customer service as well as the upkeep of the house. We did have clean sheets and towels, but the bunk beds and the full size bed on the second floor were very uncomfortable due to old worn out matresses. We made the best of our treasured time together, but the stay could've been so much better if we - as well as the home - could've received the proper care. It is sad to know we pay extra for house cleaning services and do not get that! Makes me wonder if the actual owners of the property even know that the rental is not being well maintained. The valley and surrounding area is beautiful, but we ALL were really disappointed in the overall rental.

Great location. We had 4 couples and had plenty of room. We enjoyed the firepit. The kitchen was big enough. We did lots of cooking. Easy ride to ASU.

House was great and we enjoyed our stay. There were a few issues that need to be addressed however. I want to be clear these issues didn’t bother us at all but could inconvenience some. Microwave works but you have to hold the door closed. There were a couple of beetles in the master bath In the bunk room there was a small table that was broken Garbage disposal doesn’t work We will stay here again as I’m sure these issues will be addressed.

Great for families!

This cabin has a great stocked kitchen and was perfect for our family to stay at during graduation. It was close enough to Boone for trips into town and back but still gave you a far away feeling.

Amazing place to stay with so many things nearby!

The cabin was so beautiful! It held our large family with ease and no one felt crowded on top of each other. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and there were so many blankets available. They were quick to respond with all questions we had on and prior to the trip! We expected a pull out couch in the central floor and basement but the couches seemed fairly new so the listing may be slightly off in that area. Highly recommend staying here! 10/10 visit.

Easy access with great layout.

Super clean and perfect layout for a family and friends. Pet friendly. Easy to access but a little loud in that Hwy 105 is pretty close and you can hear the traffic. Very clean!

Very clean, spacious, well stocked kitchen

We had a great stay. The house was very clean and the furniture was comfortable. Basement area was a bonus! We cooked each night and the kitchen had really everything we needed. I would remember to bring some kitchen wraps/bags next time. We did lots of 30 min trips to various hiking spots, creeks, swimming holes. Easy to get to if you follow the manager’s directions. We followed GPS on the way in and it was not as easy.

Relaxing and able to spread out

We enjoyed our time at this cabin with lots privacy and things to do......pool table, video game machine, hot tub, fire pit and corn hole. Also it is conveniently located with short drives into Boone in one direction and to Linville Falls and Grandfather Mountain in the other direction. A good time was had by all in our family.

Amazing Cabin!

This cabin provided a perfect setting for our family trip! Super-private with enough parking for 3 SUVs. It had plenty of sleeping accomodations for our group of 8. It was extremely clean and fully functional. There was a vast amount of living space on the three separate floors. We had no issues whatsoever during our time there. The firepit, hot tub and pool table were a bonus and we put them to good use. The wrap-around porch with swing, table, and chairs provided some awesome views of the mountains. The kitchen on the lower level was also an added bonus. The location was excellent, about 10-15 minutes to Boone and close to all activities (we did horseback riding, tubing, gem mining, and hiking). The road up to the cabin was a bit challenging, as it's narrow with sharp turns. Recommend the Daniel Boone Inn for a group, family-style dinner in Boone. Thanks for providing a remarkable and memorable cabin for our family get-together, We plan on booking again!

Great house just needs to be cleaned properly

We really enjoyed our stay at this house however it clearly had not been cleaned prior to our arrival! Carpets not vacuumed as there were toys on the floor from the visitors as well as some of the Remnants of their meals! Great location. Would highly recommend this house other than at not being as clean as it should have been!
