Penny, a proprietária, faz tudo pela sua estadia, nos buscou no aeroporto, ajudou com aluguel de carro, compra de passagens e reserva de passeios, e ainda acordou super cedo no dia seguinte e fez café antes da nossa despedida. Muito obrigada por nos fazer sentir tão casa!

Beautiful view on the top, garden is very nice, room is also very nice with kitchen. Pool was small but so close to the ocean, who needs the pool anyway. Kelly was good at communicating details I need. Walking uphill with luggage can be tough, but walking downhill is super easy. Restaurant nearby. They even offer horseback riding... beautiful and nice place. We enjoyed our Vieques trip.

The entire property is such a refreshing break from commercial hotels. Penny is great. It was a perfect central location for our stay on Vieques, 15 minute golf cart ride to the bio bay, 5 minutes to the ferry. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. What a cool property run by wonderful people.

We loved being high above the town and having such a great view. Penny and Wendy were very friendly and helpful, and the grounds were lovely. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, and we loved all the animals in the property. This was a unique and fun experience.

Sea Gate is super cute. Classic ‘70s style, beautiful views, interesting little architectural/design details all around (e.g., sea shells set into the concrete walls of the shower). In fact, it’s run by the granddaughter and an aunt of the family who built it (in 1977, I think they said). The rooms are somewhat tightly spaced but very comfortable and inviting. We would absolutely stay there again and wish we could have stayed longer this time. Oh yeah, it’s also has a small horse farm on site because they run horse riding tours.

We have enjoyed our stay at Seagate, Vieques. Penny and Kelly are wonderful hosts and we'll definitely go back for a longer stay. Just understand - this is not your regular hotel!! It’s just an amazing, versatile place to stay and have so much unique fun. Our 10yo enjoyed every minute of the time we spent there.

We loved every minute of our stay at this unique hotel that is run by wonderful lady, whose parents built it in 1977. If you want the Ritz Carlton, this isn't for you.. but if you want a convenient and unique experience, then this is the place.

This hotel is near the ferry. Only 13 minutes walk from the ferry. And this is a good spot for the sunrise! The owner Penny and Kelly are really nice! I will be there in the next time.

Roosters on the property crowing all day and most of the night, each night! Earplugs did not work. Kept us awake every night. SeaGate advertises as having a kitchen but dishes were toxic (aluminum pots, plastic utensils). to use. Also there were hardly any dishes, no bowls, few utensils. There was no battery in the fire alarm. The kitchen sink leaked water in the cabinet underneath. The owner is nice but does not make up for the rest. Would never return.

I loved the lush jungle-like foliage, the exotic flowers & the sound of birds chirping all around. The property was perched high on a hill & looked out over the town of Isabella II & it felt remote & peaceful. The hosts, Penny & Kelly, were great. I have never known a host such as Penny, who sat down with you & tried to help you figure out the options for things to do & places to see in the area. We followed several of her suggestions for restaurants, which were wonderful(Coqui Fire, Mar Azul), & the visit to the museum nearby was very sobering & impactful & informative about the military training that the American government did in Vieques, forcing people off of their land. The hotel had horses & offered horseback riding all around , including on the beach. We were planning to go but it had rained heavily just before , so we thought it might be slippery & did not. Would like to come back again & do that. The hotel also offered a free breakfast, including bagels, croissants & muffins, fruit & cheese , & coffee. It was perfect. We want to return!

This property is just AMAZING with the prettiest sea views at the top of the island. Penny and Kelly have the sweetest horses on the property and of course chickens and roosters. The suite was clean with plenty of space to stretch out. All the windows only have plantation shutters with no glass and we slept more soundly than we have in years with the breeze blowing through and the coqui's singing. HIGHLY recommend this place. Penny and Kelly will go the next mile to make sure their guests are happy! Thank you both for a lovely stay!

The property has a lot of charm and character. The owners are very personable Americans who have lived in the tiny island of Vieques for years. They gave good recommendations for great beaches and dining options. The setting is typical Puerto Rican countryside, thus there are many very loud roosters that crow loudly and constantly. If you’re a light sleeper, you might wake up to that. The road to the hotel is steep and winding with several hairpin turns but once here, it’s comfortable and welcoming.

Everything we could have hoped for!
My family of 10 loved our stay at Seagate. The rooms were clean and comfortable and exceeded expectations! Rooms were even nicer than the pictures! The owners did everything they could to make our stay perfect. We came on the early ferry and they held our luggage for us, while we were at the beach for the day. They also let us use the beach towels from when we arrived until when we departed. We were even able to rinse and change in the bath house before leaving on the evening ferry. Good recommendations on testaurants and top snorkeling locations.

Thanks for your reservation. The glass wouldn’t have made a difference. Maybe stay in metro areas of PR better for you. The country in PR is full of rooster and hens. Happy New Year Karen!!

I loved this hotel and it was the essence of Vieques. Kelly is a fantastic host, a charming woman who is there to help you every step of the way. Kelly will text you the day before arrival with directions and answer any questions you may have. Kelly is a fantastic host, a charming woman who is there to help you every step of the way. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is very refreshing and typical of the island, and the place makes you feel close to nature. There was a nice breeze at night, and the weather was perfect, so you could see the ocean from your room and see stars in the sky while sitting outside. The stay in Vieques was wonderful.
