At check in, desk clerk insisted that Expedia did not collect room tax (expedia does, always has). Went ahead and put the hold on the card, because it was late. Next day, they still insisted it was correct. That night, I reminded them that collecting tax, but not remitting it was a crime. Suddenly, the next morning they said it would be refunded.
But it was not. Had to get credit card involved. Royal pain in the you know what.
Also, they did not have our room ready (it was 9pm) and room was book more than a month in advance. They finally found an upgraded room to fill the gap. But it had a loose toilet (careful when you sit down!).
I saw the status sheet when we checked out. Hotel had almost all its rooms empty (per sheet, and that matches parking lot), but according to the sheet, only about 10 were clean. That explains why our room was not ready I guess.
The bar at the casino did not have a bartender. A patron sitting there told us they never do, you have to play, and then the wait staff might see you. We walked next door to the riverwalk, they had a bartender.
Will not stay here again.
