One of the features of the place are the terraced fields carved in the rocks, where vineyards, called
“pergola,”are planted and they produce very particular wines, but of limited production, such as the white
of the Cinque Terre and the “Sciacchetrà”. The Sciacchetrà comes from the local dialect and translated
means “crush and pull”. It is a sweet wine of very limited production.
The area also produces extra virgin olive oil – Dop – and very fragrant lemons.
