Penthouse Surfside Oasis 3BD in Mussel Shoals
You're just steps from a serene, sandy beach and a world-class surf break at this Ventura getaway. This penthouse unit of a 2-story home includes a spectacular, private rooftop deck with 360 views to take in picture-perfect sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. This coastal retreat features a modern, breezy great room with an updated kitchen and ocean views.
THE SPACE:
PRIMARY BEDROOM- The large primary bedroom has a king sized bed with a dresser, TV and attached full bathroom. There is a balcony off the bedroom that faces the mountain.
2ND BEDROOM- The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and a closet to hang your clothes. This room also connects to the balcony shared with the primary bedroom.
3RD BEDROOM- The cozy third bedroom has a single-over-full bunk bed and a closet.
BATHROOMS- There are two bathrooms in the penthouse. A full bathroom in the primary bedroom with a shower, sink and bathtub shower. The second bathroom is located in the hall outside the other two bedrooms. It has a tub shower, sink and toilet. All bathrooms come stocked with towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner.
LIVING ROOM-The living room is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breeze from the sliding glass doors. The living room has a couch and a TV that has the ability to stream Netflix and other streaming services.
DINING ROOM-The dining table is in the kitchen and seats 4 people. On the rooftop there is another table to enjoy dinner with a view.
THE KITCHEN- Cook up some delicious meals in the open kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with cups, plates, pots and pans and all the basics for your cooking needs. There is a drip coffee pot with complimentary Starbucks coffee and half and half.
GARAGE- This is where the laundry is located. We don’t provide laundry detergent but if you see some in the garage, feel free to use it. In the garage there are beach chairs, umbrellas and toys for you to use. Please keep the garage door closed when not in use.
PATIO- Go up the pink spiral staircase and enjoy the 360 views! On the rooftop there are 4 loungers, a gas BBQ and a dining table. This rooftop is private for your own use.
WIFI- The home is set up with high speed Wi-Fi. The password is in the Welcome Book in the unit.
BEACH GEAR- The house is located close to the beach so we are happy to provide our guests with towels, umbrellas, beach chairs and toys. Towels are in the living room and chairs and toys are in the garage.
PARKING- Feel free to park anywhere in the driveway besides the two parking spaces directly in front of the garage.

If we can accommodate an early or late check out, we charge a $75 fee. Please check with us prior for an early check in or late check out.
DO YOU ALLOW LUGGAGE DROP-OFF OR CAR PARKING FOR EARLY ARRIVALS OR LATE DEPARTURES?
No, we cannot be responsible for your personal belongings or have our cleaning crew interrupted while preparing the house.
HOW CLOSE IS THE BEACH?
The home is a block from the beach. To the left are tide pools and a surf break. To the right, in front of the homes, is a sandy beach.
CAN WE BRING PETS?
Sorry we do not allow pets at the home. The owners have severe allergies to animals and it poses a threat to their health. Please reach out to Stay SB if you have any questions.
Safety & Cameras
We have 2 cameras on the driveway and one on the rooftop patio of the home as well as sound monitoring device in the living room. These do not record sound but only make sure sounds do not go over a certain decibel (to prevent parties).

Great beach house
We needed a beach house close to Carpinteria. Cutely decorated, great rooftop view, easy parking, and easy access to the beach. The cliff house inn is close by and has a wonderful restaurant you can walk to and it also has amazing views. Great place to stay.

Little Rincon
Loved our stay along the amazing Ventura/Santa Barbara coast, looking directly out at Little Rincon Island and the Richfield Pier. What a spot! The view from the roof deck was spectacular. Would love to come back in the winter to watch the surfing right out front.

Stunning views
We loved our time in Mussel Shoals. This home is beautiful, clean and boasts stunning views from the rooftop oasis. We enjoyed our proximity to Carpinteria State Park, Channel Islands visitor center, and the Santa Monica mountains. Absolutely wonderful!

Great beachfront property
Beautiful location across from Ritchfield pier. Loved the deck with the views of the ocean. Only downsides are firm slightly uncomfortable bed, no blackout curtains and some road noise from 101.

Impressive Home
Our family of 4 loved the house. Everything seemed new and very clean. The location coming from Orange County was ideal as we arrived and returned home in just under 2 hours yet were only 20 min away from Santa Barbara and not much further to Santa Ynez Valley. The Penthouse offered amazing views from our balcony and the rooftop. Lots of inspiration! Great place!

Perfect Getaway & Beach
Three dads and three daughters stayed in the upstairs unit. All was great, clean, and just as expected. The private rooftop deck was amazing and gave great views of the ocean. The beach was just across the street and it is a long, clean, uncrowded, sandy beach with nice waves. The house has a nice kitchen, ample space to talk and watch movies, and beach chairs (etc). Highly recommend for a beach getaway.
