We are delighted that a client has found the Granary cosy in winter, as this has definitely not been the case in the past! We double glazed all the windows over the past six months, and it is gratifying to know that the expense has been worth it. John was a very easy guest who made a point of supporting local businesses and who really appreciated what the island has to offer, even in winter. He left the place beautifully clean and was just the type of guest we like!

We really enjoyed meeting these guests who very much appreciated what we are trying to achieve at French Mill and were quick to offer to help with the watering etc. I'm glad it was mutually advantageous and would be delighted to see them again.

I am glad that everything went well. I apologise that the grounds have been somewhat neglected this summer but we have had a lot of family problems (the illness and subsequent death of a parent in the north of England, closely followed by a disastrous cycling accident and extended hospitalisation of the owner) which have kept us away from the island for most of the summer. These have been very exceptional circumstances and we have been touched by our guests' sympathetic response. Hopefully the grounds will look less neglected in the next few months.

Jean and her husband were delightful guests and are very welcome to come again. They left the Granary really clean and also gave me an idea to provide bedside tables, which I have now done. I am so pleased they had such a good holiday.
