Thank you! Everything about our stay was amazing. The kitchen has all the equipment you need. The kids had fun in the playroom with all kinds of board games, my grandson with Xbox and table tennis and everyone with a Harry Potter room. They were all super happy. The adults admired the amazing garden with sea view, the garden is like in a fairy tale, congratulations. Thank you again for our great stay! We will be happy to visit you again and will certainly recommend you to friends.

Great family holiday!
Really excellent location and very well equipped house. Lots of 'extras' provided which made life easy - soaps, dishwasher tablets etc etc - and very comfortable beds. A good stay!

Weekend stay

Amazing house and garden perfect for friends and family
We loved this house! It was just perfect for 3 families with children to have a short break. The children loved the amazing garden with all its nooks and hiding places. The dorm and playroom were also ideal for them. What an adventure they had! The kitchen was well equipped and the house had everything we needed. The location was also great with just a short walk to the beach. We would definitely come again!

Brilliant stay and excellent host
Absolutely brilliant stay, the house was fantastic in terms of size, facilities, cleanliness and location. Phin was a brilliant host always quick to respond to any questions and very accommodating. We travelled as 3 couples, a baby and 5yr old and it was very comfortable for everyone, facilitates all! Would 100% recommend for a brilliant stay! Thank you Phin :)

Top Time at Tall Trees
Wonderful well equipped spacious property. Shared Tall Trees with my sister and her family. Ample space and so much to entertain the kids, they loved the bunk bed room and Harry Potter cupboard. Garden was magical with beautiful views and hidden terraces surrounded by budding plants. Location was fantastic with a short walk to steephill cove and close to Ventnor for everything one needs. We love the Isle of Wight and have been coming for many many years. So pleased to find this home which can accommodate both our families In thei part of the island.

Tall Timbers - Great Stay!
Tall Timbers is a lovely house and as soon as you arrive you feel like you are at home. Well equipped with everything you need and enough space to accommodate large parties of all ages and have fun together. Great house to celebrate any special occasion or just to relax and enjoy the comfort of your surroundings.

A delightful stay
It is a very well appointed house. Has just about everything you need. It was clean, comfortable and had a fantastic garden. Sitting on the patio you feel as if you are in the tropics. The access driveway is very steep. Okay for medium size cars but difficult for very large vehicles. Would recommend this for families - Harry Potter room delightful. Three of our group were in their eighties, and we loved it.

Brilliant Holiday
The house was everything we wished for: it was clean, very well equipped, comfortable and provided plenty of space for three adults and four teenagers and children. Set in a quiet location with a lovely if steepish garden. There is easy access to Ventnor and Steephill Cove, the latter providing a very nice Beach Shack that serves good meals and drinks. The coastal paths immediately opposite the house have wonderful sea views and the Botanic Gardens are just a short walk up the road.

Loved it!
What an amazing property! Wish we could have stayed longer. We knew it would be nice, but had no idea. The home is spacious and well appointed, and the outside spaces are amazing. My 10-year-old loved the Harry Potter room under the stairs!

Wonderful spacious property
Tall Timbers is a wonderful holiday property, both inside and out. There's lots of bedroom options, a good numbers of bathrooms, and big livingroom. Plenty of dining options. The garden is impressive (if you don't mind hills/steps), with multiple terraces and sea views from the upper levels. Location-wise it's a short walk to Steephill Cove, and Ventnor is also within walking distance either by road or coastal paths. We were fortunate to have great weather, but the property has plenty of options for wet weather, with books, board games, dvds, games consoles, table football, Netflix and a table tennis table in the car port. We were very impressed and would rate the property one of the highlights of our visit to the Isle of Wight.

Superb Location
A great place to stay, it can easily accommodate 2 large families and is a perfect place from which to explore Ventnor . The house is very clean and there were lots of thoughtful extras e.g toilet rolls , dishwasher tablets and the kitchen is home from home with everything you need. Great Family weekend
There were 10 of us staying in the house and everyone absolutely loved it, the house is big, 2 rooms en-suite plus 2 other bathrooms. Kitchen very well equipped. 2 of our party were 3 and 5 years old they were both wowed by the house especially the Harry Potter under the stairs room. We will definitely be back.

Perfect for family get togethers
We were looking for the perfect get away for 3 close families and this property was just the ticket. Well equipped, spacious, clean, warm and perfectly located to explore the coast and Island in general. Host was great with communication and would definitely recommend.

Great home for a family vacation.
I stayed at Tall timbers for a week with my family. The house is amazing and would certainly recommend this for large families. The house is a good size with lots of Common areas that allow people to relax in different spaces, great if you want adult and kids space separate. The house is superbly equipped. You honestly do not have to bring anything but clothes, everything you can think of is provided, even Netflix’s and 3 different computer consoles. Very well thought out house. The location is perfect. A short walk to Steephill Cove and short drive into Sandown and Shanklin also. The communication with the host Phin was amazing all the way through and very responsive. Even before arrive at the property I had a sense of ease based on the communication with Phin. The only thing I would say is that the 5th bedroom isn’t really a bedroom and probably can’t be used and is more of a novelty item. I would certainly recommend this property, not just because the house is great but the host is wonderful as well.

An incredible property!
On arrival, checking in was as simple as taking the key from the safe by the door. Everywhere was perfectly clean, the beds were comfortable and the whole place easily fit 11 18 year olds. The kitchen and fridge were big enough for nearly a weeks worth of food and the utility room was well stocked with towels and cleaning products. The owner, Phin, replied quickly to any messages. The property is a 20 or so minute walk from the shops and bus stop, and about the same to the beach. The garden is fairly big and has both a small summer house and a wigwam that fit 4 to 5 people each at a squeeze. Overall it was perfect for our group, would definitely recommend.

Picture perfect property
What can I say, firstly a massive thank you to Phin, the most hospitable, kind, friendly host you could ask for. Communication leading up to our stay was nothing but a positive experience. Even speaking on a personal level with our fur babies coming along with us - the welcome we received and the hellos our dogs had when we dropped our luggage off before check in. Was lovely to meet you Phin! The property - beautiful! Every space has been maximised. Everything you could possibly think of has been catered for... if only we were smaller to explore the Harry Potter ‘under the stairs’ experience. Games galore! You’d never be bored if there was a rainy day!! Wii (and other platforms), board games, Netflix, DVD’s... the table tennis table in the car port was used most nights to wind down from a busy day. The bedrooms - decor was tasteful, rooms were clean, mattresses were incredibly comfy, storage space, additional bedding and towels if needed - again - catered for! The kitchen - the gift that keeps giving - there is so much offered to guests - everything you could possibly need as a home from home experience. We hardly used the conservatory space as we were able to comfortably eat in the kitchen as a family - yes - 6 adults - we used 2 spare chairs and we were fine! Bathrooms - I mean you could choose out of 4. The bath was delightful. The shower room was cosy and fab!! En-suite for our guest on our holiday was perfect. The bedroom with the en-suite next to the entrance was great for our dogs to have their morning routine catered for. We were able to be self sufficient and continue to clean up after ourselves with the hoover and other day to day items out of respect to Tall Timbers to maintain its appeal and charm. We had such a pleasant stay and Phin was available instantly if we needed to make contact. Places to visit that happily welcomed dogs: Spyglass Inn Arreton Barn The Needles House of Chilli and gift shop (ladies were incredibly kind and friendly) Isle of Wight Pearl Appley Beach (to the right of the Tower) The Winter Garden - Ventnor Thankyou Tall Timbers for such a memorable and effortlessly comfortable stay! We WILL be back! xXx

Fab family getaway
This holiday house ticked all our boxes, we have had a great family holiday. The children loved the Harry Potter bedroom and finding the lizards by the pond. Phin went above and beyond to help us and I just wanted to thank you for everything you did for our stay. Everyone had a great time and we would recommend this holiday home and the location.

Highly recommended
Everything about this property is wonderful. The garden is stunning and like having your own private botanic gardens The house is big spacious and very well equipped with lots of games and books. There is even a very good quality table tennis table. Standard of cleanliness was excellent. Highly recommended

2nd Stay just as good as the 1st
Location is just right, with the picturesque steephill cove almost opposite. from there a coast walk to Ventnor. If you want to unwind this is the place to do it. if you want to entertain a bigger group then the house has all that too!

Amazing Holiday Rental
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tall Timbers and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The house is spacious and clean and the gardens are amazingly tropical. Phin (the host) is very polite and courteous and very quick to respond to emails. It's just a short walk to Ventnor, along the coastal path, where you can find a lovely beach, pubs and restaurants serving delicious food (especially The Spyglass Inn). Steephill Cove is also a short walk away and well worth a visit. Thank you so much Phin for a wonderful week at Tall Timbers.

Excellent large house
This property is probably the cleanest and best equipped private let that we have ever stayed in. There were only two of us for a short break but the house sleeps 6 adults and 7 children. The garden is a little wild but beautiful and, in my opinion, not suitable for very young children due to the steep drops. The local area is very hilly but it is a very manageable walk into Ventnor and the esplanade. Our only issue was with the lack of availability to eat out locally. Ok, we went in mid-September but, given the lovely weather , the island was still very popular. We were pretty fed up to find that most cafes etc were only open 10-4 and even then, several still took a day off mid-week! The handful of restaurants that opened a bit later (9-10pm) were fully booked for at least a week 😕

Great Property
A great property for families. Well equipped with everything you could need for a stay away from home and more. Was impressed by the array of cleaning supplies/hand wash etc. Has bought my own but were not needed as the place was so well equipped. Also a great selection of entertainment: DVDs, books, games etc. My only concern was that check in was late (6pm) and check out very early (10am)!

Perfect
A Last minute booking for a much needed break led us to book this lovely house. Right by Steephill Cove/Botanic Gardens and a pleasant walk away from Ventnor sea front by either a cliff path or quiet roads (Sidewalk all the way). The tiered gardens back and front are great to just sit and relax in when not feeling energetic too. Ventnor itself has exactly what you'd want from a seaside break which rounded it off to be as the title - Perfect....

Family Gathering
We stayed at the property when we needed to attend our fathers funeral. We had 4 dogs between us, 3 teenagers, 4 adults and many people popping in and out. The house was ideal, bathrooms galore both upstairs and down. Kitchen so very well equipped with everything provided. Books, games, wii , DVD’s and very clear instructions for WiFi made it feel like home from home. The house even though bitterly cold and wet outside was cosy and warm. As it was very cold, we didn’t take advantage of the fantastic garden, but the dogs did. The garden is very very steep, beautifully terraced , so young children would need to be very well supervised. Phin made what was a sad time so easy by answering my questions during the booking process very quickly, and allowing us access to the house a little earlier. Walks from the house to the cove were delightful, and the dogs thought so too. We would like to come back on a happier occasion, and perhaps a little warmer weather!

This is a very well laid out property with plenty of space, numerous beds and lots of showers/bathrooms. Ideal for a larger family with children or a group of adults. Quiet location just outside Ventnor with a bus stop about 150 yards away. All aspects of this property ticked the boxes as far as we were concerned.

Great house for an extended family
The house was an ideal holiday home for my Husband, two sons, their wives and our four grandsons. It was well equipped, there was plenty of room and a great garden which the boys loved to play in. A good location, being near Ventnor and Shanklin.

A gorgeous property in a fantastic location. Mini micro climate. Everything you need very spacious wonderful tiered tropical gardens surround the property. Very comfortable beds. Ideal for children bonus can take your dog. A lot of thought has gone into this property in providing guests a comfortable entertaining stay.

Great location for exploring the south side of the island and a short walk to the Ventnor Botanical gardens and Steephill cove.
