The Space:
“Iris” means Rainbow in Greek, and there’s a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow: Villa Iris. Located in the peaceful Lakeside Villas community in Vega Alta, minutes away from Dorado Beaches and sharing a beach with the Dorado Hyatt Hacienda del Mar, this two story vacation home is surrounded by tropical gardens, lakes, and fountains, offering both ocean views and easy access to white sand beaches just steps away. Guests are equally close to community pools, and a short drive brings you to Puerto Rico’s adventures, nightlife, and world class dining. A backup generator ensures comfort and security, your Caribbean getaway in this coastal paradise is waiting for you!
Villa Iris sleeps up to 8 guests in three ensuite bedrooms. The master suite features a king bed, pullout sofa, seating area, TV, and balcony overlooking the gardens. The second suite offers two full beds with refined décor, while the downstairs suite includes a queen bed, love seat, large flatscreen TV, and ample storage.
Inside, over 3,200 sq. ft. of living space includes three full bathrooms plus a halfbath, all with modern fixtures, eclectic tiling, large mirrors, and hisandhers basins. The living room opens onto a covered patio and features richly upholstered seating, tasteful décor, and a 46″ TV. Dining seats eight around a wooden table with garden views, while the fully equipped kitchen offers a tiled island with bar seating, doubledoor refrigerator, induction stove, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffeemaker, and sleek cabinetry.
Outdoors, the upstairs balcony provides partial ocean views with seating for four, while the groundfloor patio offers dining and lounge areas, chaise lounge, ceiling fans, and a large BBQ grill.
Community amenities include a chic clubhouse, three pools plus toddler pool, tennis courts, pingpong, and playground. Dorado Beach and Hacienda del Mar Resort are nearby, with San Juan’s entertainment and shopping just 35 minutes away. Dorado is a premier resort town located just 18 miles from San Juan. This community is adjacent to Dorado, specifically located in the town of Vega Alta. It offers the best of all worlds — a serene, quiet, family-friendly gated community on the beach, just minutes away from the vibrant nightlife and superb restaurants of Dorado.
Getting Around:
We recommend a car- but Uber is available as well.
We can help refer you to local transportation, rentals, drivers and tour guides.
Other Things to Note:
Puerto Rico is an amazingly friendly Island and folks are laid back and on ISLAND TIME.
Guest and Owner will sign an occupancy agreement detailing the terms of the stay. Guest may request a copy of this agreement at any time as it is specific to each Villa rental.
If a guest is bringing a pet we need to know in advance as there may be registration paperwork involved and a pet fee.
This villa has a specific allowance for electricity usage which covers normal use per day. If guests run all zones of AC 24/7, it has happened that guests may exceed the allowance and there is a surcharge for over usage based on actual bills or meter readings upon entry and exit. Excess electricity usage may be deducted from the Security deposit that is on hold with Airbnb. To avoid that please be mindful and turn off the AC units when you are not in the room. Guests are responsible for ALL utilities for stays of a month or more.
If guests stay for longer than two weeks a mid-stay cleaning will be charged $195.
Interaction with Guests:
I love to host our guests and developed some nice friendships as a result- however I leave it up to the guests if they want to reach out and use us a resources for local tips and activity/ dining suggestions.
We are available 24/7 on call for any requests.
