We were told that our room would be refreshed after three days, but housekeeping never serviced our room during our stay. "This has been the worst place I’ve stayed in years. The air conditioning is fixed, and no matter how much we tried to make it colder it would revert to the setting they had it on. Second, the area where the hotel is located has a lot of homeless and sketchy people. Third, at 3 AM a train passes that shakes where you’re staying. In short, I had a horrible night, couldn’t sleep because of the heat, and there’s no front desk to file a complaint with. And finally, checking in is another problem. If...

"The property has inadequate parking requiring parking across the street in an overflow lot which was also at times full. The room was clean but run down. The door was hard to open and shut and overall the property is run down."

"Very nice appearing resort but mechanically needs improvement. Screen on patio door very difficult to open. We left it open because we were afraid we would not get it open again. Closet doors would not close and bathroom pocket door needs a handle because it is so difficult to open. Also the cold water was not cold."

"Clean room. Cute decor/retro vibe. Nice in room keurig for morning coffee. Very interesting sleep machine with lots of choices. Very convenient parking! Only complaint was confusion (mostly on my part) about paying a100 incidentals deposit beforehand so it was like I didn’t have a reservation at first. All got resolved, so that was good. Neighborhood doesn’t feel walkable, but that was not a surprise. I wasn’t there long, but it was good for what I needed. I enjoyed the shower also!"

"Excellent , perfect add on to my Charleston french quarter trip. Beware the bad reviews are old, for a minute I was in doubt and after was very happy I made it. The hotel was renovated recently. Staff was extremely friendly starting from Holly at front desk and Lucas and Lucy at lodge and helping around. I was recovering from a broken foot and they made their best to acomodate my needs.
