My stay at Veronica’s place was absolutely wonderful. Better than the pictures,, smelled wonderful, was warm and cozy, quiet and safe neighborhood. I goofed on my checkout time and the host was gracious enough to accommodate my late checkout time,, so very grateful!! I would 100 percent stay here again.

Great little place
Was in town for a funeral in the Valley Stream area. Perfect little place for one person. If you're super tall, might be less perfect, as the ceiling is sloped on one side of the bed. I was there when it snowed. The steps, sidewalk, and driveway were all cleared and salted, so no issues with access. Prompt communication made it easy.

Awesome little place! Perfect for our stay - super close to the Long Island Railroad to get us to Brooklyn and Manhattan. Quiet, safe neighborhood, easy parking. Just what I was hoping for!

Great experience!
This property was great, the location was fantastic, it's an adorable little apartment and very clean. The property manager was wonderful, she always replied within 30 minutes and answered all my questions. I was a little nervous after I booked, I saw the reviews for VRBO were terrible, but this stay was very enjoyable and I would definitely recommend this property for your trip to NY.

Small but functional
Host is terrific, really responsive. The place is small, and the bed is under the dormer, which can be a challenge if you are tall, but we really enjoyed staying here. The place is clean and everything works. 15-20 minute walk to the LIRR.

Pleasant Surprise! I always book at hotels but took a chance and I’m glad I did. This property isn’t the Ritz but it’s good enough. Simple, clean, quiet and in a decent area. The owner was also available to give assistance when needed. I’ll definitely recommend this property and stay again.

A Perfect Little Getaway
My wife and I were in Long Island for a wedding and we needed a little place to stay. We were spending most of our time out doing things, but this little place was a great place to relax and recharge at the end of the day. We loved the area, Valley Stream is a cute little place on Long Island. We used public transport for everything and it was great to be within walking distance of the Valley Stream LIRR station (about 15-20 minute walk). When you first enter the back yard of the property it was like a little oasis, there was a nice balcony and comfy chairs outside to sit. The neighborhood was very quiet and cute, only heard the sound of airplanes taking off or landing at JFK. The bed was super comfy, there is a nice tv to watch some streaming services. The little AC unit cooled the room down very quickly. The bathroom was nice, the shower has a bench, which is awesome. Overall we loved our stay.

small but very cozy
It was a easy check in. Neighborhood is quiet. Great location. The owner is sweet. The only problem I had was there is a door connected to your room that leads to the whole house. You can hear the kids so no real privacy. If you can hear them. They can definitely hear you. But overall I loved my stay and would stay again.

What we needed
The place is quite small but had everything we needed. If you're 6ft or taller you might feel cramped. The outdoor area was nice. Location was key for us and our host was great.

Will Stay Again
I am very happy that I found this listing! I would go as far as to say the pictures don't do it enough justice. Despite not using it ourselves, it was very cold while we were there, the outdoor area is very spacious and nice. You're located about a 15-16 minutes walk away from the LIRR into the city which we walked and rode everyday. Not once did we worry about our car or stuff as the neighborhood was fantastic as I mentioned earlier. All in all, on my future travels to New York I will be staying here!

Perfect Place to Stay
Cozy, nicely appointed one bedroom that's a short walk to the LIRR and Green Acres Mall, with restaurants on the way. Great private entrance and courtyard. Nice neighborhood. Much better than a hotel. They thought of everything.

Perfect for Me, Great Location
Host was friendly and thoughtful, as she brought me an extra blanket. Host communicated with me throughput stay to assure everything was okay. Location was terrific, near airport, train station, shopping, and mall. Great use of indoor and outdoor space. Area was well lit, completely safe. Accommodations are above a nice family with well behaved children. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

South Valley Stream Hidden Gem, truly is!
For a quick weekend visit to the area, this was a lovely guest room, small but cozy space, in a pleasantly safe area. In a family oriented neighborhood, and the private yard for renters is a plus. The host provided everything needed for a comfy weekend stay. She has great communication with the renter from reservation, to self check in, and throughout the stay. She made everything seamless. We would return for another weekend visit. The pictures don't lie, they give the true picture of the space which was great and it was super clean! I come prepared for the worst-case scenarios when we rent, but not here. It was clean, linens, towels, fridge, everything, fresh and clean! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we appreciate it!

Good for a short stay
We stayed for 3 days.... just an FYI It's attached to the owner's home. It does have angled ceilings so if you are tall, be careful. It's about a 17 minute walk to the LIRR station at valley stream or a 5-7 minute car ride. There's an iron, microwave and toaster oven and mini fridge. There were just a few things that that kept it from being 5 stars. *The floors were dusty, anytime we were barefooted, we had to wipe our feet down. The floors should have been swiffered prior to us checking in. *The mattress was not very comfortable. It's sinks quite a bit when you are on it. It either doesn't have proper support or the mattress needs to be thrown out, or maybe that mattress came in a box and that's why it's so flat and prone to sinking. *The towels had a weird scent like they were dried in the sun or like they were folded while still damp, so we went and bought our own. *The walls are thin, so you can hear the kids in the main part of the house. *There were some mostly empty bottles in the bathroom which isn't welcoming. The hand soap, shampoo, etc were practically empty, with other properties that we have stayed at, the owners make sure to have refilled bottles or provided travel sized toiletries There was no body wash so we went and purchased our own from the store. All in all it served it's purpose, the neighborhood was nice and quiet. And we were close enough to the event that we needed to attend.
