The apartment met our basic needs, but there were several issues during our stay that future guests should be aware of.Communication with the host was inconsistent. Before arrival, it was difficult to get answers to basic questions such as bed sizes, the entrance location, parking, and check-in information. During the stay, responses were sometimes delayed.When we arrived, there was a large puddle of water on the floor, which the host explained was likely from a previous sink overflow. Later in the stay, the mini-split A/C also began leaking water, creating another puddle near the wall and bed. The host apologized for these issues.We also found mold and old coffee left in the coffee maker, a frozen cucumber in the refrigerator, and there were no hand towels or hand soap provided initially. I purchased hand soap, paper towels, and napkins during our stay. The host later offered to reimburse me, which I appreciated.On positive side, the host was courteous, apologized for inconveniences, provided the Wi-Fi information and hand towels after I asked. However, after I reported the maintenance and cleanliness concerns to VRBO, there was a misunderstanding, and the host asked us to leave early because they believed I wanted compensation. We clarified that we simply wanted to report the issues and complete our stay.Overall, the property has potential, but would benefit from better cleaning, more thorough maintenance checks before guest arrival, and more timely communication.
