"El Pueblo Lodge is wonderful! As others have mentioned, the breakfast buffet is a major highlight of this centrally located family owned hotel. We also spent a couple hours every afternoon lounging by the pool and hot tub, which was well needed after our morning hikes and nature outings. Another perk is they provide you with charcoal & other grilling supplies if you decide to use one of the 3 grills on the property grounds. "I only stayed for a day but it was a stay to remember. The check in time was later than I’m used to but you have your own parking spot reserved with your room, you walk though a beautiful garden to get to the room, we reserved the storyteller suite, so our view faces the setting sun which was gorgeous.
We didn’t need to talk to anyone because of the contactless check in which was very convenient and hassle free.

"I enjoyed the large bed in our room, the view of a mountain from the patio and the comfort of the reading room. The breakfast was good too. I wish that they had served bacon along with the eggs but the variety of items was nice. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. "
"Check in and check out were completely remote and extremely easy and convenient.
Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Wifi was fast, water pressure was good, parking easy. They also had a lovely little outdoor area to sit in. I would highly recommend stepping out at night to see the stars - we could see the entire milky way from the parking lot.
The only little thing was that the A/C remote was a little hard to use.

"The La Fonda is a beautiful old hotel. Paying for parking in the rear was so worth it. We came and left frequently, going to historical sites and Taos Pueblo. We were able to sample some local cuisine in the hotel restaurant and the owner was very informative, telling us about the history of his people and the foods they prepare(d). "We had the best time at Edelweiss Lodge and Spa! We went to Taos Ski Valley to hike to Wheeler Peak. Helen took care of us the entire time, checking on us on our hike and setting up massages while we were hiking down the mountain. The only negative was there was no air conditioning so it was a little warm in our room. Helen did come through though by getting us a fan. Overall, it was an amazing stay and I would highly recommend Edelweiss!"
