Spectacular Spa-Like Oasis
Among the best vacation rentals we've ever experienced! Casa La Sultana is super clean and well-appointed.
Bedrooms have lamps on each side of the beds, comfortable mattresses, luxurious pillows, and private bathrooms—one of which has a shower that opens into the private side yard. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water for two people to take showers back to back. Aircon is excellent and quick.
Back garden and pool are exquisitly landscaped. A private paradise. A large covered patio makes it posible to be outdoors even during Yucatecan rain showers.
The bluetooth sound system is a huge bonus—two sonos speakeers that fill the space with amazing quality sound.
Location is great. It's a short walk into centro, with two directions from which to choose—one short, one more scenic. There are tons of great restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. A little tienda on the next block over sells ice.
La Sultana is in a quiet neighborhood typical in Mexico. It's not posh or affluent (though there some remarkable rennovations scattered throughout) and the approach may initially be offputting if you are not used to life in Mexico. But rest assured, it's a safe and pleasant location, as is the whole of Valladolid.
Fernando is a warm and accomodationg host. Great communication. We loved our experience and will be happy to return.
