Tybee Dunes Oceanfront is a beach lover's dream. It is located right on the beach where the Atlantic Ocean meets the shore. It features historic charm, modern amenities, and with a complete renovation to give you luxury surroundings with the classic look and feel of a 1920s craftsman-style beachfront house. Enjoy gorgeous and unobstructed 360 ocean views from all second-story rooms, including the oceanfront porch. Beach chairs, beach umbrellas, bed and bath linens, charcoal grill, and beach toys for all ages, including a billiards table on the ocean porch, are included with your stay. Are you feeding a crowd? The billiards table easily converts into an additional dining table ready to meet your entertaining needs.

After a day full of sun and fun, sit back and enjoy the home theater, which includes a 70-inch smart TV with a subwoofer in the great room and one in the primary bedroom. Tybee Dunes' airy layout comprises five bedrooms and three baths and comfortably sleeps 12. There is a king bed in the primary bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a bunk room that sleeps 4. The lower level of the home includes two queen bedrooms with separate covered outdoor entrances for added privacy and seclusion. PLEASE NOTE: The staircase between the two levels is also under the covered outdoor area and not accessible from the interior of the home.

The kitchen and breakfast area opens to the living room and ocean porch and features new modern touches like white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. An additional refrigerator is located in the fully appointed laundry room. There are several screened and covered outdoor sitting and play areas for you and your guests to spread out comfortably and enjoy.

A host of outstanding restaurants and local shops is just a short walk from the house. Bike and golf cart rentals are also nearby, along with playgrounds and a disk golf course, and the beach is located right out the back door.

Overall a nice beach house. The 3rd bathroom outside on ground floor with the 2 other bedrooms was not clear in the listing (or I missed it).

I would not stay here again ONLY because this was sold as a 5 bedroom and made to believe it is a larger home. However, it is a 3 bedroom home with 2 outside bedrooms. This is not ideal for a family. Maybe younger adults with friends would not mind, but I would never stick my kids/teens outside downstairs in a room alone. The master bedroom however was very clean and nice. No major upgrades have been done, its a very dated home. Tybee has went downhill honestly on the quality of places to stay. Honestly this is one of the better places I have stayed, but again just not ideal for a family. Needs to be BOLDLY labeled in the description on this house set up.

We had a great week at Tybee Island. The water and beach was perfect for our 3 year old and 15 year old. The biggest challenge was getting down from our dune to the beach. By the last day there was a large drop off and we had to walk further down. We had a small issue with the sink and the company responded quickly to check on it.

Great location to the beach! Nice and clean. Two bedroom are detached from home, not ideal. Absolutely under stocked with toiletries, cleaning supplies, trash bags, etc. no beach towels. For the cost, expected more.

Property needs a little TLC. Toilet paper was cheap and we ran out. There needs to be a lot more supplies for 12 people. Shower head down stairs needs to be replaced. Great location and we enjoyed our stay.

Family Vacay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The house was perfect in terms of accomodations, furnishings, beach toys, etc. We especially enjoyed the screened-in deck for both morning coffees and afternoon relaxation after bike rides and hours at the beach. The beach was amazing - we enjoyed the warm water, the vast amount of beachfront, and the relative calm and no crowds. Tybee Island was wonderful - small and low-key... we biked around the island every day and we had many great meals that exceeded our expectations. Fun time! We will return!

Weird home layout

Two of the bedrooms are under the house and are accessed from the outside. The one bathroom for these two bedrooms is also outside making it very inconventient. It would not be safe to have young kids separated downstairs in this setting.

The accommodations fit our family of 11 (varying ages) very well… especially since the teenager could have her own room However, the ice maker isn’t working and the kitchen sink sprayer is stuck on…. Hopefully these things will be fixed before our next visit.

Great location!

The house is amazing and is well kept. The pool table was the best part and it was fun to play pool as a family the whole weekend. The host was great in communicating and provided everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely book this house again, the beach is right there!

Great property, would stay again

The property is direct beachfront and located conveniently near many attractions and restaurants on Tybee. It was perfect for our group of 6 and could comfortably sleep more in 5 bedrooms. The screened porch overlooking the ocean was a great spot to hang out! Kitchen was well equipped, property was clean and as advertised. Beautiful house and we had a great weekend!

Fabulous location

The house was spacious and perfectly situated on the beach but close to many restaurants! We had 3 boys under 5 and it was perfect! If we werent at the beach, then we were on the porch listening to the beach watching the cargo ships. It is also so close yo Savannah! Highly recommended!

disappointing

the property location is great. but the listing and pricing leads one to believe that the service level would be commensurate with what is advertised. the house cleanliness was ok. nothing to be excited about. the kitchen was small. lots of routine maintenance issues, the best part of the home is the beach access and the upstairs screened deck. The big reason for the poor rating was the real lack of caring service by the property management folks and ultimately the owner who was getting income from our stay. During our second full day of the rental, we returned from the beach around noon and found the AC not working at all. With an infant and a house full, with temps in the 90s and 90% humidity IN THE HOUSE.. this was a big issue. Not enough space in this review box to tell the whole sad saga, but the important thing is that it took over 24 hours (the following day) to finally get an AC Tech from an HVAC company to come fix the AC. It only took them about 90 minutes to get cool air running for us. There was such poor communication from the property manager. When I called it seemed like just an answering service. Ownership and management should be prepared to spend what it takes to get an emergency AC tech to a property rental. There should always be one on call. All the guests except my wife and I had to go to a hotel for one of our nights. It was 24 hrs of aggravation and additional costs. I felt taken advantage of: Poor service in exchange for paying for beach access.
