Your picture-perfect Tybee Island vacation awaits at the “NEW” Blues Away Cottage, a circa 1958 charmer. Bright, beachy and filled with original folk art (ORIGINAL FOLK ART: Howard Finster, Woody Long, R. A. Miller) & special touches throughout, Blues Away lets you leave behind the everyday world and immerse yourself in the breezy joys of Tybee.
Welcoming you to your Island home are such creature comforts as central air-conditioning, beadboard ceilings, spacious living area, two dining areas, well-equipped kitchen with all new kitchen appliances, 2 full bathrooms and washer & dryer, WiFi, and three bedrooms: one master with a king bed and comfortable reading area for 2, a second bedroom with queen bed, and a third bedroom with two twin beds. Flatscreen TVs in living room, master bedroom and twin bedroom. Each room delights you with fun details and comfy furniture that keep you smiling.
Beyond the cheerful and inviting screened porch, choose from three outdoor sitting areas to gather, relax and savor the sea air as well as a heated outdoor shower!
Location-wise, Blues Away truly “sits pretty” on the Island. Memorial Park, the Sundae Café and the Sugar Shack are each two blocks away, and the beach is as close as a pleasant stroll or a 5-minute bike ride.

Cute place! We enjoyed coffee in the morning in the lovely porch area and some wine and cards in the back yard area. We had bikes dropped off so we could bike around the island and see all the beaches Tybee had to offer. The host was great to work with during our stay here!!

Our stay at the Blues Away cottage was fabulous! The whole house is light and airy, decorated in just the right amount of beach theme! The covered porch was very inviting, as was the backyard. If it had rained the entire vacation, we would have enjoyed just relaxing at the house! The outdoor shower came in handy, along with the spigot out front. Located 4 blocks from the beach, the 2nd street and 3rd street entrances were within walking distance. We drove to the south end of the island to eat a couple of nights, but found better food on the north end! Kim was very quick to answer any questions we had. This is def a house to come back to!

The perfect island getaway

This place was incredible! A perfect quiet location just 5 minutes from everything on the island, easy walk to the beach and food. The best stocked rental house I've ever stayed at - they provided everything! And the host was so responsive! Absolutely a great stay!

Relaxing even with kids!

This is our 2nd time to stay in this house. We love coming here. Short walk to the beach that's not over crowded. The decor is so cute I always take pictures of my girls in the house. Lots of extra items that are useful ,wagon, toys, beach chairs.

Wonderful Stay!!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Great property, close to anything you want to do in Tybee, and space for off-street parking! We will absolutely stay here again when we’re traveling through. Kim is a fantastic host!!

The best week

We have been coming to Tybee for 15 years, and Blues Away has been our favorite house to date. The location can’t be beat and the attention to detail in the home surpassed our expectations. The layout is fantastic for families (our in laws had the bedroom and bath on one side of the house, while my husband and I and our daughter had the two bedrooms and bath on the other side of the house; it allowed for a perfect amount of privacy while still enjoying time together as a group. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Spring Break Beach Stay

We had such a wonderful time with our two teenagers and their friends-it was a perfect place for 6 to relax and dine together. Beach access was quick and easy and Ubers to Savannah made touring a breeze. Thanks so much for sharing your cozy beach house and for the wonderful hospitality. We’d definitely return!

Great spot for a girls getaway

We loved the location of the house and there was plenty of room for us. The owner left little treats for us and the house was stocked with everything we needed for a long weekend. Will definitely keep this spot in mind for our next Tybee trip!

Sister trip

Every year for the past 14 years we go on a sister trip (4 of us). We love history and we love the ocean so Savannah and Tybee Island was a perfect choice. Can’t tell u how much we enjoyed both choices. Savannah was beautiful and so clean and Tybee Island was perfect. Friendliest people I’ve ever met and we’re from the Midwest. The beaches are pristine and awesome. There are so many rentals to choose from on Tybee but what caught our eye about Blues Away was the colors and the decor. I saw a review about it and they quoted how the minute u walked into the door u couldn’t help but be happy. That was exactly how we felt also. Loved the place!!!!! We’ve talked about returning already.

The peaceful cottage

The Blues Away cottage was a perfect vacation with all the comforts of home. Loved the decor and all the personal touches. It was clean bright and just a short walk to the beach. Thank you Kim for always being responsive to our questions. We hope to be back again next year!!!

Family Fun House

The Blues Away Cottage was the perfect place to spend some much needed time with family. The cottage was so cheerful and tastefully decorated with bright colors through out. We couldn't help being happy the minute we walked in. It was well furnished and stocked with everything we needed to relax and make some great meals. And when we were ready to soak up some sun and swim in the water the beach was only a short walk from the house. What a great place! Look forward to staying here again in the future.

Loved it!

We had a girls trip to Tybee and this was the perfect beach cottage! Everything was just foot steps away! Easy walk to the beach and local restaurants and ice cream! We also spent time in Savannah and it was an easy short drive. The cottage was adorable and had everything we needed. The host stocks the cabin with supplies down to every little detail! The beds were very comfy as well. We cannot wait to make this an annual trip!

Relaxing 😌

We had such a nice stay. No big plans just enjoyed the beach and each other. The cottage was a great way to do those things. It's so beautiful I even did a mini photo shoot inside of our girls.

Quaint and Comfy

We had the best time on Tybee and Blues Away Cottage was everything we had hoped for! Walking in the door will definitely take the blues away! Everything was bright and beachy! Comfy beds and everything you need right at your fingertips! I hope we can stay again soon!!

Wonderful Stay

This is a beautiful cottage in a great location. Not far from the beach and places to eat. The cottage itself is very clean and has anything one could need on a trip to the beach. Kim was very responsive with any questions I had.

Perfect getaway

Easy booking process, pleasurable interactions with host, ideal location and property. Can not think of a better place. Have already raved to friends and can’t wait to return. The Perfect Beach Cottage

I don't think I could pick a more perfect cottage if I tried and we have since this was our third time staying in Tybee and our favorite place so far! If it is available, we will be staying here every time going forward. Kim was so responsive, had every item you could think of already stocked in the house so you didn't even have to remember to bring it. There were fresh flowers, a bowl of treats which my kids loved and even a birthday cake waiting for us when we arrived after just briefly mentioning it was my husband's birthday. That is true hospitality! The place itself is ADORABLE, clean and perfectly furnished. Plenty of space to spread out, tons of lighting which I appreciate, comfy beds and there are stand up showers in each bathroom - something you don't usually find in these cottages but we love. My son loved the outdoor shower as well. The location is great too. Right on Jones Ave so it is a very short walk/ride to the beach (we rent a golf cart while visiting which I also recommend because it is fun to ride around all of the back streets and free parking)and is close to anything you want to get to on the island. All in all, if we could own a cottage of our own, it would be one just like this and we may have said that several times during our stay! We loved our trip and the Blues Away Cottage so much!!!!

The best in Tybee

We could literally walk to the beach! The place was clean and had everything you probably left at home available. The owner was in constant contact with me throughout the whole process and even let us check in early and check out an hour late! Will definitely be staying here again during our next visit! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Great stay at Blues Away!

Enjoyed three nights at this darling cottage. Owner really went above and beyond with amenities (way more that other places we've stayed) - truly home away from home. Great location within walking distance to the beach and the outdoor shower was a plus to rinse off sandy toes! Would stay again and recommend. Thanks!
