Pet-friendly with fenced-in yard - multiple pets welcome! Large screened porch as well as outdoor deck under a 200 year old Live Oak tree! Outdoor shower for washing off the beach!
New Amazon Fire 50" 4K Smart TV in living room.
Beautiful bright cottage kitchen with new open shelving, beautiful tile backsplash, new quartz countertop as well as cabinet and lighting updates. Owners also installed a water filtration system! They are living the true Pura Vida (pure life) with a water purification system! Reduces a wide variety of organic and inorganic contaminants that may effect the quality of your water supply.

2 cozy bedrooms and 2 bathrooms make this a perfect cottage for a small family or group ~one bedroom has a queen bed and the other has 2 twin beds.
3 short blocks from the 12th Street beach, short walk to shops and restaurants. 2nd Avenue is the main bike street on Tybee and perfect for family bike rides.

A Perfect Place

Pura Vida delighted us from the time we set foot in the house. It was clean, bright and perfect for 2 adults and a small (well behaved) pup. The kitchen is well equipped. The place is an easy walk to the beach and to restaurants and the screened in porch is a perfect place to welcome the day with coffee in the morning and close out the day with a glass of wine in the evening. Can't wait to go back..

Amazing Time on Second Avenue in Tybee

My family and I had an amazing time on Tybee Island and in this lovely cottage. The decor with the beach theme was perfect for the area. I was nervous about noise with how close the homes are to one another but the neighborhood has quiet hours and my husband and I got a relaxing sleep each night on the very comfortable queen bed (best mattress besides my own that I have slept in when renting). The central air worked perfectly. The cable TV had plenty of programming options and the WIFI was strong. The screened in front porch was my favorite spot. I enjoyed drinking tea in there in the morning while watching bikers and walkers stroll by. The walk to the beach was a couple short blocks away. The beaches were amazingly clean and the sand was as smooth as silk. Tybee has a small town feel set in the tropics. While there are shops and restaurants, it didn’t feel like a tourist area. The cottage is also a very short walk to the local IGA which is well stocked. This cottage is on the bike path which allows you to traverse a lot of the island. You are also very close (20 minutes or so) to beautiful, historic Savannah. My husband and I never considered a beach town as a retirement place. However, there is something different about this place. If you want to be active, you can bike, swim, surf, kayak, walk, etc. The property manager was incredibly responsive. Our trip was amazing and we plan to go back next year if all goes as planned.

Great Tybee Trip

Pura Vida was just as advertised and was perfect for our family of four. The location was convenient to the beach, the grocery store and shops and restaurants. We had a great time and only wish we could have stayed another week. The staff at Mermaid Cottages were outstanding.

Sweet little stay

This house is just perfect for a couple or two. The front porch is just lovely and everything about the management is excellent. They are very communicative and responsive. We just loved our stay and will be back for sure.

Wonderful cozy cottage. Excellent location! Walked a short distance to see the sunrise each morning. Rented bikes and explored the island. Super clean and comfy beds. Highly recommend for sure!

Great time at the beach!

Our family of four (+ dog) had a great stay at Pura Vida. The size was perfect for us, it was very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with all of the cookware we needed. The location can't be beat—just a short walk to the beach and restaurants, while still being in a quiet neighborhood. And Tammy from Mermaid Cottages took great care of us. Highly recommended!

Perfect!

This is a cute house with an awesome screened porch in a great location! The house was spotless and had everything we could want or need. The porch is relaxing regardless of the weather and the picket fence is perfect. The beach, sound, grocery store, shops and restaurants are all walking distance. Highly recommend!

Pura Vida exceeded our expectations!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this cozy beach cottage. Very clean, this cottage is in a great location to enjoy all that Tybee Island has to offer. The Mermaid staff was very helpful and accommodating. It was a great month! We will be back!

Great little place

Everything was great however it was a tad dirty upon arrival. It appeared there was dog hair around the house. Luckily none of us had allergies to dogs! Besides that it was a lovely property and the check in and check out was easy. Would stay here again.

Home Away from Home

We loved our stay at Sea Largo- it truly felt like home away from home. The house was just lovely - warmly decorated and just the right size for our little family. The outdoor space was just as great and I spent many an afternoon relaxing on the screened in porch. The house is just a short distance from the beach and is located on a cheerful street that is also along the main bike route. Family friendly area and a short walk to shops and restaurants. You do want to bring some extras such as extra paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc because additional supplies of those are not available. However, that did not take away from our experience and the awesome memories we made. The ladies of Mermaid Cottages were very responsive, kind, and great to work with. We would definitely stay again!
