The host was very communicative, left plenty of towels, the house was clean, bright and a top notch location. I loved all of the space to spread out and relax. We were within walking distance of restaurants, and just steps from the beach.

Beach access was great. Also access to all that Tybee has to offer. Perfect for my son’s bachelor weekend. The pool was wonderful and bedroom and bath layout was convenient. The host took a couple of days to answer my question but that turned out to be not problematic. The only problem we had was the guys planned to cook out at the home, which was listed to have a gas grill. However, the gas grill was in such bad shape and so dirty that they could not use it. They had all the groceries and no way to grill them, so a little grill maintainence would have been great. But overall, their trip was awesome and we would book this place again.

Location location location! Loved having our family here - plenty of space to spread out and have our own spaces as well as common spaces. We did not have the best weather but due to the location we were able to explore places quickly and walk when we had breaks in the weather. Thank goodness for the amenities that allowed us to be comfortable even when stuck inside!

This house was perfect for our group! You can't beat the location being just steps to beach access. The private pool also makes this house stand out from the others. Anna was a great host and quickly responded to all of my questions which was really appreciated.The house had everything we needed, even a few beach chairs and towels. 4 star review mostly since some of the bath towels & bed linens were a bit cheesy.

Upon arrival, we had to sweep entire house. I must say this was the dirtiest house i have ever stayed in. TV did not work in two of the bedrooms. Toilet in large downstairs BR very loose. Lots of maintenance needed. The dirtiest place. I would not stay again.

Family vacation

The location, size of this property and communication with the host was excellent. Due to a plumbing issue from the previous occupants we weren’t able to get in until a day after we were supposed to but the host was super responsive and tried her best to make up for it. Once we were in the home my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish it was longer.

Tybee family get together

Plenty of room. Great access to the beach. Nice bathrooms. Nice small pool for the toddler. Close to grocery store. Very pleasant. Had a minor plumbing problem that was dealt with quickly.

Ideal for Family Getaway

As other reviews have stated, the property needs a good cleaning and some other TLC. That said, it was ideal for our multi-generational family gathering with its great access to the beach, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, and comfortable spaces to come together, both indoors and outdoors. You'll need your own hairdryers (there's only 1 that we found) plus basics like kleenex & lotion. Note to owner/manager: larger groups need more towels and please check the property before arrival; the leaking shower head with a broken handle didn't just "happen." We had a great time and the comfortable house made us feel at home.

A nice house that needs updating and improvements

We enjoyed our stay at this property on Tybee Island. The proximity to the beach is excellent. We spent a lot of time in the screen-in porch and my grandson slept out there! The pool is very nice. We cooked many meals and were able to find just about everything we wanted to use in the kitchen. I am sure when this house was built, it was one of the nicest on the island. With that being said, the property needs many updates and a better cleaning service. The downstairs was dirty. When we first arrived after the cleaning service had supposedly just been there, we found lots of bugs and dirt on the floor and in bottom cabinets, which we cleaned. We had to vacuum the living room floor and clean sticky stuff off the kitchen counters. There were numerous other little maintenance problems which we discovered each day, like a bathroom shower not draining, ice maker that did not work, and cold water in a downstairs bathroom sink did not work. The dishwasher is not secured at the top and could be dangerous if it came completely loose. An upstairs drawer in a bedroom fell apart in my hands. A hot tub was advertised online, but there was no hot tub. We would not have used it in the heat, but the owner should not advertise an amenity she does not have. We have rented numerous beach, mountain and other vacation houses over the years and have never encountered the problems we found at this house. All could be easily fixed. The price is far too high in its current condition.

Tybee getaway

Great house in a great location. Steps to the beach walkway. Nice walk to pier, shops, and restaurants. About a half mile but easy walk. Spacious house and amazing porch. Kids enjoyed the pool and it had heat so that was nice on cooler nights.

HOUSE WAS PERFECT!

Great location, close to beach and downtown. Clean!! Host was super responsive always and super helpful! The screened in porch upstairs is awesome and a perfect spot to relax and hang with friends! Most importantly it was AFFORDABLE! This house was literally perfect for us and made our vacation just that much better!!

Good Overall!

Location was perfect! 3 houses from the beach walkway, mid-island, and within walking distance to the IGA. The pool gave us a cool break from the beach, and the grill was nice. Pool maintenance came to clean it twice while we were there for the week, which was great. However, the cleanliness of the property was not. Countertops, sinks, and tables needed to be wiped down. All the dishes needed to be rewashed before using. There are also quite a few maintenance issues throughout the house. However, towels/bedsheets were all clean. The layout and number of bedrooms/bathrooms were perfect for our large family. The A/C worked wonderfully, and there are Roku or Smart TV’s in all of the living rooms/bedrooms. The screened in porch was wonderful for morning coffee and evening cocktails, but the TV did not work. The ping pong table, 2nd refrigerator, and extra full bathroom in the garage were an added bonus. Overall, a great family vacation!
