"The hotel felt old in a good way, but the rooms - and especially the bathrooms - were up to date and beautifully maintained. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts in the sunny dining room and we left agreeing that the Alexander Pope was a hotel we would happily return to. "I would love to emphasise the helpfulness of the staff. My payment card kept being declined and not at anypoint they made me fell uncomfortable.
We managed tonwork towards the solution. Hence I hive a top mark for my stay. Eventhough the room was on top of a busy pub, I didnt hear a word of the crowd downstairs.
The room had a fan that helped a bit with the humid night but probably next time I will choose not the single room.

"The hotel is quite simple, but nice. I don't recomend arriving late because we had to wait outside for 20 minutes trying to get someone to open the door. If we didn't have phones that could make international calls, we wouldnt have been able to contact someone, and it was written on my reservation that we would arrive late, arround 1am. Other than that, the hotel has a good cost benefit and works perfectly if you are looking for a practical stay. "

Tge reason for this is because for Value for money considering its London its really good especially with parking slots and the train station just down the road like a 3 minute walk. The staff were really good and helpful i didnt feel i needed anything more for the amount this cost me. Thank you to the gentleman who were at reception and were a friendly bunch. "I've stayed here before, and - as previously - I found the staff to be professional and courteous and the rates to be very reasonable for the area. I've yet to try the optional breakfast, but its aroma smelt great as I checked out (and for £8 it was very reasonably priced too)."
