We customized and handcrafted every inch of La Choza to evoke the perfect blend of vacation vibes that will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed, and recharged. If you're into cooking and entertaining in beautiful and functional spaces, you've come to the right place! We provide absolutely everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay - the perfect cookware, utensils, appliances, spices, coffee and teas, luxurious beds and linens, stylish outdoor lounging, stimulating games and puzzles, and desert night hot tub soaking with a real wood burning fire under the stars. ★ We're not your typical vacation home - we take pride in providing an exceptional experience to each of our guests, every time. This requires a commitment from every guest that they will take good care of our home and treat it with respect. By booking with us you are agreeing to tread lightly, clean up after yourself (especially in the kitchen), and follow our simple check-out instructions so that we can keep things running smoothly and provide excellent hospitality for years to come. We love sharing our home with clean and respectful guests who treat our place with care - if you are the type to leave a mess and not follow check-out instructions, please do not book with us!


★ Please note that our place is best suited for 4 adults (perfect for 2 couples) but we can accommodate up to 6 (4 adults + 2 kids or 5 adults + 1 kid) for an additional $50 per person/per night fee. Unfortunately we do not accept bookings for 6 adults as our place is quite cozy and would feel cramped with 6 adults. We also do not accept more than 4 guests for a one-night reservation. We have these limitations in place to ensure that each guest enjoys the same exceptional experience - we’ve tried it many ways and doing it this way just seems to work :)


★ We do offer early check-in at 2pm and late check-out at 12pm for an additional $75. Please inquire at time of booking if interested.


★ Please note that we do not accept pets of any kind, this allows us to keep our place absolutely pristine and spotless at all times :)


★ If you are new to VRBO (or have an account with less than 3 positive reviews or any negative reviews) we're happy to host you, but we require a $500 security deposit at the time of your booking. This is to protect us (and you!) from potentially having a bad experience as we hold ourselves (and our guests) to a very high standard. We’ve consistently had less than ideal experiences when hosting guests that are new to VRBO and we’ve found that a security deposit is the key to alleviating any potential issues. Fortunately we’ve never actually had to withhold anyone’s deposit, it’s just an extra layer of protection to ensure that everything goes smoothly!


★ We are on the edge of a neighborhood, however there are 100+ acres of open land and unobstructed mountain views to the south and west so it feels very expansive.


★ If you leave an item behind we'd be happy to ship it back to you but we do charge $10 + actual shipping fees :)



★ In-Ground Pool ★

We designed and built our pool with both aesthetics and functionality in mind. Although small (12x18ft), it delivers a totally fresh and unique experience that will keep your body cool and your mind curious. We also provide a giant 10ft umbrella that fits into a sleeve in the baja shelf for that much needed midday shade as well as floaties, water toys, and goggles for the kids. Expansive and unobstructed mountain views complete the desert vibe, making La Choza the perfect spot for your next desert getaway!

*We offer pool heating (during winter months) for an additional daily fee, please let us know when you book so we can program the heater to turn on during your stay.

Our WiFi speed is 920 mbps - perfect for streaming on multiple devices and especially nice for remote work.



★ Level 2 EV Charger ★

We provide a level 2 EV charger for all of our guests free of charge. Please let us know if you plan to use it so we can activate it for the duration of your stay.



★ Digital Guidebook ★

After booking, you will receive a beautiful digital guidebook with all the information you could possibly need during your stay. Think of it as a house manual wrapped inside a local area guide. You'll find easy check-in and check-out instructions as well as helpful pictures and videos on how to operate everything in the house. We've covered literally everything in the guidebook so that your stay can be completely stress-free.

Are you concerned about exposure to toxic chemicals in your water? Don't you want to immerse yourself in a glorious pool and spa filled with crystal clean filtered (and 3rd party lab-tested) water?

Most people are unaware of the terrible water quality in the high desert and how bad it can be for your skin, hair, and health. But don't worry, we have you covered. Our custom whole-house water filter is specifically designed to remove the exact contaminant profile found in the 29 Palms water supply.

STRICT NO PET POLICY - in order to accommodate our guests with allergies to pet hair and dander (ourselves included), we cannot allow any pets at our property including emotional support animals. If we determine that a pet was brought onto the property without our knowledge we will impose a $250 fine.

*Morning Light*
We have lots of natural light at La Choza! While we do have roll up shades, on all the windows, they are not blackout. If you're a late sleeper we recommend you bring a sleep mask.

*Neighborhood*
While we do have a couple of neighbors, when you're here (especially in the back) it feels like you're the only one as there's nearly 100 open acres to the south and west.

★ Filming + Photography ★

If you are planning to do any kind of filming or photography you MUST get consent from us first and we require a minimum $500 deposit + additional film fees depending on the nature of the project.
