"Great hotel. Top tip - follow the hotel’s instructions on driving to the hotel. We followed our satnav / GPS and ended up in “the lanes” which are scary narrow roads. The walks from the hotel are stunning along the coastline. Dinner a bit pricey. "

"Booked a single night. All the staff at the beach Club were very willing and friendly. The condition of our room was excellent. The bed exceptionally comfortable. Excellent shower. We used the spa facilities, which were not very busy except for the family swim period between 4 and 6pm (but it was during school, holidays). We would recommend the included continental breakfast. There was lots of choice and quality of the food was excellent."

"We had a lovely stay and were upgraded to a glimpse of the estuary room. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent as was the service. The only small grumble we had was that we found our room too warm although there didn’t seem to be any heating on."

"Lovely warm welcome from owners and their dogs. Enjoyed the quirky decor and excellent breakfast menu. Very comfortable bed. Attractive garden area. Nice touches included owners calling us by our first names, fresh milk in room each day and well stocked 'honesty' bar. Some aspects of the room were a little tired. "

"Great little spot walkable to Kingsbridge. Staff were excellent, the breakfast included was terrific and it felt like a home. The room is small and basic but it’s all a traveler needs. "

"It was something that wife had wanted to do since she was a teenager. And now we both have, it is an iconic location with an amazing history and it has hosted some of the most famous people of the 20th century which include Winston Churchill to the Fab Four "The Beatles". "Apartment, as described, in a stunning location. Spotlessly clean and easy check in . Nice selection of restaurants and bars on site with friendly and professional staff. Only issue was that extensive building work was taking place outside the apartment and noise started around 7.30 in the morning. It didn't spoil our stay but may need to be considered if you like a lie in."

"The apartment is a home from home and has everything you’d need! We were two small families so a house shower room would have been good rather than having to go in to one of the other bedrooms for a shower etc not a massive deal if your one family and there is an extra toilet! There are no blinds/curtains in the room (they can’t be fitted because the building is listed). Eye masks are provided but if you’re a light sleeper then one to avoid. The property is in a stunning building, a lovely area of the harbour and has been well renovated and looked after. "
