We had a great time at Steve and Kathi's cabin on the lake! We were looking for a place to stay close to family and didn't want to stay in a hotel. It was perfect. Our boys (ages 13 and 10) loved the camp so much they did not want to stay with family at nearby lake as planned. Camp provided ample space for our 2 families (used to cabin camping) sharing the space. The camp is rustic with renovated fully stocked kitchen , really stepped back in time and reminisced about childhood stays on the lake. The lake is beautiful, quiet, clear green and full of fish! Boys were out on the lake for hours fishing off paddle boat which was at the camp. From the camp (only feet away from the water) you could see nearly the entire lake which was a plus with children. The camp has a screened-in porch over-looking lake with ample place for relaxing and eating with a nostalgic cottage feel. As I mentioned it is like stepping back in time, the furnishings are older but clean, comfortable, and quaint, adding to the appeal and the adventure. Truly was a great experience if you are looking for a getaway and simple living.
The camp is only about 1 mile off Route 81 and you can hear the traffic, but this certainly did not detract from the beauty of the area. The neighbors are friendly and boys loved the the playful neighborhood dogs.
