Charming house in the middle of Cornwall
Truro was not our original selection for the stay, but turned out to be much better than expected. It is a nice little town with lots of restaurants and small shops. Not too much torurists and well situated for trips around the area.
We stayed three nights and managed trips to St Ives, Mount St Michael and a walking tour in the Roseland area.
Parking was good. The house is on walking distance from the railway station.
The house has two good bedrooms. The beds are not very wide, but comfortable and have good quality bedding. We slept well!
The bedside lamps with charging possibility and USB outlets were great. These spared us the need to use adapters for UK type power outlets.
The two bathrooms have good standard, the ensuite is rather small, but quite adequate.
The kitchen is fully equipped, but because of the short stay we did not use it much. An additional small saucepan would be appreciated. The espresso machine was wonderful and we enjoyed good coffe during our stay!
The living room was cosy.
Sine the weather was warm we did not use the summer house across the street, only the outdoors table. Also not the front garden where the chair seems to be broken.
The information, books and brochures provided was appreciated. We missed instructions on recycling.
A problem we had was that we booked through Hotels.com and all information from Sykes may not have reached us. The emergency telephone numbers should be more clear.
We had a great time in this charming little house!
