Streams and Dreams - TLUXP

IMPORTANT: The renter must sign a TLUXP Rental Agreement and speak to a TLUXP agent within 48 hours of booking for their reservation to be confirmed.

A 3.8% credit card fee will be added to the total amount due, (excluding the service fee charged by Vrbo), if a credit card is used for payment with TLUXP. This is not reflected in the quote by Vrbo.

REQUIRED COUNTY STR PERMIT INFORMATION:
Nevada County | STR21-01497 | RCN37-22 | Max Occupancy is 10 | 4 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times.

SECURITY CAMERA(S): This home has four active security cameras. There is one on the entry exterior, one overlooking the driveway, and two on back porch. Please inquire with TLUXP if you have any questions or concerns prior to booking.

Pet Policy
Pets are only considered at properties that indicate Pets Considered in the amenities tab. If you wish to bring your pet, please conduct your search specifically for a home that will consider a pet. Prior written approval is required, and a pet fee applies. PLEASE KNOW, "PETS CONSIDERED" DOES NOT MEAN THE OWNER WILL ALWAYS APPROVE A PET. IF APPROVED, ONE PET MAXIMUM. Please call our office to inquire about your pet and the fee, as homes may have varying policies.

County Rules
Each county requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to your home's Short Term Rental Permit. We thank you in advance for abiding by the rules below, also included in your signed in the Vacation Rental Agreement.

Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement.
Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week, Noise carries easier and further in higher elevations and over water. Per the ordinance: No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.

Lights Out: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use must be turned off to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.

Red Flag Warnings: Due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited. On Red Flag Warning Days, when fire hazards are especially dangerous, typically due to dry conditions and high winds, additional restrictions are imposed by the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and prohibited. You cannot use outdoor gas grills or gas fire pits during Red Flag Warnings. All outdoor fires are prohibited, both gas and wood. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.

Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP.

Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.

Be Bear Aware
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.

Office Holiday Hours
The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.

Streams and Dreams is the quintessential Tahoe Donner, vacation home. Up a few steps from the main living area is the primary suite with an alcove outfitted with a twin / twin bunk bed for young kids. Downstairs, a spacious family room offers every form of entertainment one could desire: billiards, foosball, air hockey, arcade games, television and wet bar. Not to mention the easy access to the hot tub out the sliding doors, with the moon and the stars as your portrait. Streams and Dreams is truly everything you envision in your picture perfect vacation home.

Located in the highly sought-after Tahoe Donner community, 25 minutes from Lake Tahoe, amenities abound. Enjoy easy access to open space and multi-trail systems including the Tahoe Rim Trail. Minutes from Old Town Truckee, shopping and dining, Donner Lake, and I-80, this fabulous location has convenient access to world-class skiing, golf, mountain biking, watersports and more.

Your stay in Tahoe Donner includes access to some of the community’s best amenities, from lakeside days at the Beach Club Marina to fitness and relaxation at the Trout Creek Recreation Center, plus seasonal fun at the Tennis & Pickleball Center and Northwoods Pool.
Access to these private amenities requires a Short-Term Tenant (Guest) Card, which admits one guest (ages 3+) per day with a daily access fee of $30 per day in 2026. Each home may have up to six cards, and children under 3 do not need one (discounted rates apply for ages 3–6)
Please note that guest card access is not available during select holiday periods: Jan 17–19, Feb 14–16, May 23–25, Jul 1–5, Sept 5–7, Nov 26–29, and Dec 24–Jan 3, 2027.
Public Tahoe Donner amenities are open to everyone year-round at standard rates.

We were a group of 10. 6 adults 4 toddlers and stayed for 4days. We all really enjoyed staying this property. Clean, beautiful view, comfortably enough space for all of us. Play area, backyard with snow and hot tub were perfect for toddlers. We did cook a quite bit and kitchen had a fully equipped! Nothing was missing really. and on the top of that the host was very nice and flexible. We would definitely recommend this property!

The house is beautiful and clean. The kitchen was nicely appointed and spacious. Our group of 8 adults had plenty of room to hang out together. We enjoyed hiking the trail behind the house along the creek as well as other hikes in Truckee. Conveniently located near shops and restaurants. Would stay here again.
