"This lodge is such a beautiful property located by a tranquil lake. The owner has preserved a lot of the buildings original history, despite all of the modern renovations. The owner is extremely friendly and personable, and clearly takes pride in the property. There’s a few towns and restaurants nearby, but ultimately it’s perfectly secluded, yet not too far of a drive from the Mackinac bridge. "Great little cabins, the host was supper friendly and accommodating. Each cabin has a boat you can use. Ours has lots of towels and an equipment kitchen. I Definitely want to stay here again. The locations is short U.P drive to most major attractions. "

"We had a wonderful stay over Labor Day weekend and this was a perfect location to stay. Enjoyed the peddle boat and outdoor picnic tables. Beautiful sunrise in the morning. Close enough to hit the waterfalls too. Very friendly owners and great local pizza at Trout Lake tavern."

"We loved everything about our stay. We had gone up to go to the I-500, but decided to stay right where we were, it was so peaceful and lovely. The host is most generous and very hospitable. We thank you for a wonderful trip home. Oh, that's right, I forgot to tell you I'm from Rudyard and we come home about 3-4 times a year. So, we'll be seeing you again. Until next time..... "We loved the house and all of its charm. The view was amazing. Loved watching the freighters on their way to/from the Locks. We were there during both hot days (85) & cold (40). The ceiling fans kept the place very comfortable during the heat & the furnace kept us cozy when the weather turned. Great location with an amazing view! Convenient to gas, places to eat, groceries, and more. Host was responsive & helpful. We would love to return again!"

"What a perfect trip. This location was great for us, we loved the little trail to the water also. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hardest part about staying in rental homes is you never know what they have, well, they have it all! We will absolutely stay again."

"It was very clean and communication with the host was quick and friendly. We loved the location and the extra boats we received. The lake is clean and fire pit was nice. We loved watching the ducks and hummingbirds everyday. It's definitely a great place to go!"

"Great location that was close to all of the UP things we wanted to do. The lake view from cabin was wonderful. The kitchen pots and pans aren’t stocked very well so bring your own if you plan to cook a lot. Otherwise we loved it!"

"The one-room cabin was overall wonderful. The view of the Trout Lake is beautiful, and the cabin is centrally located for any destination you want to get to. The host was polite, and answered every question or concern we had almost immediately. The little heater in the bathroom was a big plus. Towels and blankets were plentiful and the entire cabin was cleaned with some cooking utensils which made making dinner easy. Overall amazing stay!"

"The 2 of us came up here with our 2 dogs for a long weekend. The cabin was just as pictured and had everything we needed from a fan in the master to toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels and the gas grill was even ready to go! We enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake, sunsets and sunrises, long walks on the beach and we were even lucky enough to catch a small glimpse of the northern lights! We traveled an hour away from the cabin to check out Tequamenon falls which in the summer or falls...
