"I really enjoyed my one night stay at Y Pengwern. The bar was friendly when we checked in, and when I was shown my room was amazed at how big it was. I was backpacking and there was plenty of room to reorganise my kit, and the bed was large and very comfortable. After a long day's walk we were looking forward to food, and were very happy with the big hearty meals we had in the restaurant. "Right by beach who could ask for more"

"Ignore the unloved, unkempt garden that greets you. Inside is a TARDIS that is very clean and a good size with a large immaculate bathroom and generous bedrooms. Really enjoyed our stay."

"It was clean and tidy and decent kitchen facilities, there was no coffee table or table to eat at so we had to eat on our laps which was not ideal. The garden could do with a gate as it's on the main road to Pwllheli - we could not let our dogs out. The garden was chipping pretty much and surrounded by a caravan motorhome storage , no plants and pretty uninviting so we never used it even though the weather was good - the garden could do with some plants. "Excellent position right on the sea front at Criccieth and we found it easy to find a place to park on the road in front. The exterior of the building is not in the best state. Inside the apartment was clean and bright with stunning sea views from both the living area and bedroom windows. Provisions were basic and we were only provided with one bath towel each for a 5 night stay, which is not enough.
