Lake Hartwell Fishing Trip
The property was perfect for our stay, unique property with great amenities and the property management was excellent! Very friendly and helpful owners who meet our every need. I highly recommend this property and we plan on staying here again in future trips to Lake Hartwell.

Great Property for Exploring Lake Hartwell
We spent a week at the property to fish on Lake Hartwell. Property is extremely well setup for fisherman with covered storage with plugin for boat battery charging and good lighting to rig up after a day on the water. Location is great just a short distance to Broyles Boat Ramp located mid-lake and close to Greenpond Landing (for Tournament Fisherman). The Cabin is very comfortable for 4 people with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The outdoor kitchen was great and the owners were very easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions. Great place for Fisherman and really anyone wanting to explore beautiful Lake Hartwell.

great get away
Wonderful cabins with great outdoor kitchen. fire pit, corn hole, where we enjoyed smores and games with our grandchildren. Plan on staying here again!

Great Place

Perfect setup for fishermen

Perfect fishing getaway lodge
Castaway Cabins is the perfect location for anyone fishing Lake Hartwell. The cabin, eating/lounging area, and the boat storage sheds were exactly as advertised. You will be on the water within minutes of leaving the cabins. Communication with Deanna was top notch. Will definitely stay here again if I ever decide to fish Lake Hartwell again. thanks, Chad

Everything you need.
The cabin was perfect for tournament anglers and set up for all your needs. Lockable boat storage, and literally 2 minutes to the boat ramp. Owners were incredibly nice and went out of their way to make you feel at home. If we have another tournament on Hartwell we'll definitely be back.

Calling All Fisherman
This is a great setup for any fisherman. Whether you are fishing for fun or participating in a tournament, this is the perfect rental. Plenty of space for parking your boats, along with power and lighting in all 3 spaces. They even provide an extension cord for you to plug into. Being less than 1/2 mile from Broyles, you will not find a better location to stay.

Great spot!!!
Loved this spot…the fire pit is right there & they have everything you need for the outdoor kitchen! It’s close to the lake so we’re thinking of renting both cabins next time & bringing the boat. Cool place to stay with the cooler weather so you can utilize the outdoor space without it being to hot. Very clean & all you need for a weekend trip!

The place is really compact but nicely done. The heating unit is in the loft, and so is much of the heat. I would hate to be sleeping up there. There’s no range in the house, so you have to use the grill, which is in serious need of repairs. The tv is practically unwatchable except by the person sitting on the end of the sofa. Some small folding chairs to sit in inside might help. Otherwise, the owners have thought of just about everything you might need. Not sure we would stay here again, give the cost versus a good motel room with breakfast provided, but no regrets at all for this trip. BTW, it’s an easy drive to Clemson, even on a game day.

Brother in laws fishing weekend.
It was exactly what I needed. Place to stay while fishing at hartwell. Cabin was clean ,neat and well stocked. Out door cooking area with a TV what else could we need?. Yes everything about the place is perfect. Owners are very nice and hard working people. Thank you for having us.

Simply Amazing!
Came to town for an overnight stay, simply was not enough time to enjoy this place! We will most definitely be back! It was exactly how the listing stated. The host was amazing at making sure we had everything we needed! It was very clean and simple, everything was labeled and there was instructions posted clearly on how to use different things! We will most definitely be back again and hopefully for longer then just an evening!

My husband and I took our son for a tour of Clemson and did not want to stay in a hotel. This cabin was very original perfect for Fisherman!

Confused
The property was beautiful. The tiny home not cabin was quaint. However I believed I was running a cabin near woods with at least the lake in the vicinity of the backyard. Whether it was a miscommunication on the listing or what I don't know but it's listed as a cabin and it is a tiny home not a cabin. I also didn't realize until after booking that there was no stove in the tiny home. This was not a major big deal but I was a little disappointed in the location and the fact that it was not a cabin. That was the experience I was looking for.

We’re sorry our cabin/tiny home didn’t meet your needs. Some people would call these cabins and some would call them tiny homes. It depends on the particular person’s definition. We’re sorry that you were disappointed that it didn’t meet your definition of cabin. The listing clearly states how far away the lake is, 1/4 mile away. It also clearly states that there is no indoor stove but a complete outdoor kitchen. Thank you for your review.

Great cabin and outdoor kitchen
I stayed at this cabin the night before a golf tournament in the area The cabin was comfortable and clean, but the outdoor kitchen steals the show. The equipment provided is top-notch and the atmosphere is conducive to conversation and enjoying the evening.

Wonderful Set Up for Families!
We loved our two night stay! I knew from the photos and reviews that it would be just perfect for our family (three kids and two dogs). The cabin was very cozy and the outdoor kitchen made the accommodations stellar. The hosts thought of everything. And they also had some little “extras” like a zillion clean towels, several rolls of toilet paper and even a few packaged toothbrushes in case one was forgotten. And on a side note, we had a blast till the wee hours with our “neighbors” in the smaller cabin next door. We hung out in the outdoor kitchen and bonded over s’mores! Oh, and our 12 year old caught a 5 pound bass that my husband easily prepped for our dinner while there! Walking distance to the lake is a huge plus!

Nice getaway place
If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is conveniently located near the lake and close enough to town to not be isolated then this is the place to stay. The place is very well kept up and the owner is very considerate of their guest. They leave plenty of supplies and even though the place seems tiny from the outside, it is organized to maximize the space there is. It is a nice place to get away to that offers really quick access the the swimming area and boat ramps. The property itself is extremely well kept up and offers ample room for family and friends to hang out and enjoy each other’s company.

Perfect Getaway
This cabin and the smaller one are both PERFECT for a nice getaway. Broyle's Landing is 1/4 mile and has picnic areas, grills, roped off beach / swimming area and a 3 lane boat ramp. Castaway Cabins has a place for your boat, restaurant style outdoor kitchen. If you love to cook...you will love their outdoor kitchen. The fire pit is cozy with 4 large stumps. Just bring your chairs, light it up and RELAX!!!! Cabins are complete with AC, fridge, TV and you will love the craftmanahip of these cabins. Go check it out...you will LOVE it!!!! We sure did!!!

The pet fee was not listed on the web page and was not made known until a confirmation email. Not exuberant and typical of most places but still should be presented in original price. There is a whole in the fence out back where a neighboring dog kept coming over. If your dogs are friendly it will be okay but your own pet could potentially follow them back out of the yard as well. Beautiful well designed property. Grills and set up is amazing. Perfect place for a group or reunion. Great for a private getaway as long as the cabin located 10 to 20 yards away is not occupied. If so you will have to share grill common area.

Perfect for fishermen (and women)
Here for a high school bass tournament on Hartwell and wanted a vrbo adventure instead of regular hotel. This was perfect. The cabin is small but has everything you need. Outdoor kitchen was great. We ran out of time for a fire, but will do that next trip. Thanks for having a lit, covered and powered place to park our boat and trailer. That's a big advantage and we'll be back. Very nice owners. Property is clean and organized. Women appreciate that!

We had the best night at this adorable little cabin! It was just perfect and had everything we needed. The outdoor space and kitchen was awesome and a great place to hang out and play games. Cute, clean, well-equipped property. We rented both cabins and had a great weekend visit with friends. Everybody loved the cabins and the outdoor common area was perfect for spending the majority of our time. The property owners were so easy to communicate with throughout.
