Les Cordeliers, à deux pas de capitole

The Cocoonr agency offers this lovely apartment for rent in downtown Toulouse, located on a pedestrian street, a stone's throw from the Capitole. Located on the 2nd floor, with a surface area of 45 m² and accommodating up to 2 guests. This apartment offers a contemporary, soft, and refined decor. The spaciousness and brightness of this apartment are particularly appreciated in all seasons! It consists of a living room, a dining area, an equipped kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. Hotel-quality 4* linens are available. We are waiting for you!

The accommodation is composed as follows:
- A living room with sofa, coffee table, and TV
- A dining area with table and chairs
- A fully equipped kitchen with: electric kettle, toaster, stove, refrigerator, microwave, oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, and more
- A bedroom with a double bed (140x190)
- A bathroom with bathtub
- A separate toilet

For even more comfort, the owners have decided to invest in the following additional equipment: fan, washing machine, iron and ironing board, etc.

Transportation:

- Capitole metro station (line A) is a 5-minute walk away.
- Nearest train station: Toulouse Matabiau, about a 20-minute walk (1.3 km).
- Nearest airport: Toulouse Blagnac via the airport shuttle
- VélôToulouse bike stations are located a few meters from the accommodation
If you choose to come by car, you can park in the Indigo public underground car park near the Capitole.

Other remarks:
- This apartment has Wi-Fi.

Cocoon agent was very -pleasant but-he hadn’t visited the apartment ahead of time and ‘discovered’ it as he said with us. Not very professional.-he had also refused to be there at the advertised start time of 4pm saying that for operational reasons he couldn’t get there until 4:30. Not appreciated after 24 hrs of travel, even if he had told us this 2 days earlier. He also phoned at 4:15 saying he would be 215 minutes late

The apartment itself was clean - yet dated. The picture in advertisement needs to be updated to reflect the current condition. We booked 2 months in advance but arrived to be in the middle of a construction zone as all the other apartments were being renovated and the arrival of the construction team became our alarm clock at 8a each morning. The light on the staircase was out and when I reported it, I was told the by our contact at Cocoonr that they were not responsible but would let the building manager know - the light was never fixed - so I had to use my cellphone flashlight to see my way up/down the staircase which was challenging as I have a disability and I use a cane - and made sure I was indoors before 8p to keep from falling up/down the dark staircase. The final straw was when the construction team knocked on the door to look around the apartment - I assumed because they were planning renovations there as soon as we left. We left Les Cordeliers after that because we did not feel safe with so many construction workers coming in/out daily and having the two other doors to the building being left wide open while they they worked througout the entire building. We asked Cocoonr to place us in a different accommodation - we were told nothing was available, so we moved ourselves which even after being credited for our early departure for the nights we did not stay, it still cost us an additional 100 over what we had originally paid for the VRBO accommodation.

We went to bed the first night and were attached by bed bugs. The two of us slept on the couch with towels as blankets and moved to a hotel the next morning. We have asked for a refund of our six night booking. The property manager refused. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.

Excellent stay in the center of Toulouse

Wonderful location, comfortable apartment, excellent furnishings, and kitchen, first-rate shower. Be prepared to climb stairs; the reward is a quiet place in the center of town.

Disgusting

The unit was overall fairly dirty, but major issues were the couch, covered in disgusting stains and with a cigarette burn-hole on it, an oven that looked as though it had never been cleaned, and what looked like black mould on the shower head hose. We had no choice but to stay one night because we spent the evening of our arrival communicating with Vrbo and the management company, Cocoonr, who act on behalf of the owner, but we left as soon as possible the next morning. We are seeking compensation from both companies.

A Capitole gem

A fantastic location near Capitole. A short walk to all of the sights of Toulouse. Very convenient. Many thanks to Aziz who was able to reschedule the time to let me in at the last minute.

Steps away from Place du Capitole

This is a true gem, because it couldn't be better located if it tried:) It's within minutes from the Capitole, the Marche Victor Hugo, shopping - everything. A parking garage is around the corner as well, albeit very pricey. The only negative element worth mentioning is that it's on the third floor with a winding staircase, but if you don't have serious health issues, this shouldn't be a problem.

Just lovely

I was on a writing retreat. It was so much fun to listen to the bustle in the street in the evenings, to explore numerous beautiful walks in the morning, and to happen upon amazing places to eat for lunch. Highly recommend this location!! Felt so at home and felt grateful to be there the whole time.

Better than a hotel

We had all the amenities of a hotel room, with the benefit of a kitchen. The market was a less than 10 minute walk, so we saved money by eating some delicious meals at the apartment. We could not have been in a more convenient location for walking, shopping and eating. The bar downstairs got a bit boisterous until 3am a few nights, so be warned if you are a light sleeper.

Nice apartment and central location

Comms before arrival were good although I did need to check that it was ok to deal direct with the agent rather than through HomeAway and this should be explained on the website. We arranged an arrival time; but unfortunately our flight was diverted to Paris mid-air. I called from there and explained the situation and Nadia, our arrival contact and she was fine about the uncertainty and it went well. She herself, is charming, her English is excellent and she was very clear in her introduction to the place. We had a major problem with the shower water supply which was resolved the next day, a Sunday, thank you. Deborah, who was on call that weekend, was equally efficient and also spoke excellent English The place itself was spotlessly clean. For anyone with any sort of disability, there is a tricky staircase to the second floor and no lift. We were fine. It's within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions in Toulouse and there are a million and one eateries at a reasonable price in the area which is, in fact, student territory which also makes it quite safe. It's about 5-10 minutes walk from Capitol or Jeanne d'Arc metro stations. From the airport, use the tram and change at Arennes. Get a 10 trip card at the airport for €13.50: can be used for 2 people. One clip each will get you from the airport to either metro station. We can recommend the place and will be quite happy to use it again when we visit family in Toulouse.
