There’s a wide selection of pizzerias, restaurants, and ice cream shops. The market takes place every Thursday 200 meters away. We’re waiting for you with insider tips and copies of *Lust auf Gardasee*.

Attractions

You can also go on excursions without a car: hiking trails, bike paths, car ferries, and boats are nearby. Buses run every 30 minutes, so you can leave your car at home in the private parking lot. A hike to the Valle delle Cartiere—300 meters away, where there’s also a paper museum—is highly recommended. There, you can trace the evolution of paper production in Toscolano over the centuries. If you’re not daunted by steep inclines, you can hike up to the summit of Monte Pizzoccolo, just under 1,600 meters high. The view stretches from the Apennines over Monte Baldo to the Adamello Glacier, Ortler, and the Dolomites of the Brenta Group. Even without climbing to the summit, however, there are plenty of hiking trails on the hill: a map is available in the village. There’s still plenty more to discover: Il Vittoriale, where the poet Gabriele d’Annunzio lived, is 4 km away, as are the aerial cableway in Malcesine, the waterfalls near Varone, and the art scenes of the nearby cities of Trento, Verona, Mantua, and Brescia.
