The space
Welcome to Casa Elja, a cozy Spanish cottage in the peaceful countryside outside Valencia. It’s a great place for anyone spending some time in the area who would rather have their own home than stay in an apartment or hotel room.
Casa Elja is located on the grounds of Villa Torrent, between Torrent and Montserrat and surrounded by nature. Despite the peaceful setting, the location is surprisingly convenient. Supermarkets, restaurants, and other everyday amenities are about a 10-minute drive away. Valencia Airport is approximately 20 minutes away, and downtown Valencia can be reached in about 30 minutes.
The nearby A7 and A3 highways also provide easy access to Valencia, Alicante, Madrid, and the surrounding area.
Casa Elja is set up as a fully equipped home. It has two air-conditioned bedrooms with spacious closets. Both bedrooms have double beds with quality mattresses, one measuring 160 x 200 cm (63 x 79 in) and the other 140 x 200 cm (55 x 79 in). The spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower and toilet.
There is also a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own meals and a comfortable living room where you can relax.
Outside, you’ll have your own private fenced garden with a terrace, perfect for outdoor dining, relaxing, or simply enjoying the Spanish lifestyle.
Guests also have access to the shared swimming pool, sauna, and yoga terrace. Fitness equipment is available as well. Your car can be parked safely on the property under the covered carport near the entrance.
And then there are Villa Torrent’s 11 chickens, so fresh eggs are part of the experience.

Dog friendly
Casa Elja is dog friendly, and the private garden is fenced so your dog can enjoy the outdoor space too.
The host’s three friendly dogs also live at Villa Torrent. They have their own part of the property and do not have access to Casa Elja’s private garden.
There are several beautiful walking routes and natural areas nearby where you can explore with your dog. Your host is always happy to share his favorite places and routes.

The shared swimming pool has lounge chairs and a sun terrace. Around Villa Torrent, you’ll also find several places to sit outside and enjoy views of the surrounding countryside.
A variety of plants and fruit trees grow around the property. Depending on the season, you may even be able to pick fresh mandarins and lemons straight from the garden.

Casa Elja is part of Villa Torrent, a spacious 2,100-square-meter (approximately 22,600-square-foot) property in the countryside outside Valencia. The property includes Casa Elja, Casa Rosa, and the host’s home. Each house has its own private garden, giving guests their own outdoor space around their accommodation.
There are also several shared amenities on the property. The swimming pool with lounge chairs and sun terrace, sauna, yoga terrace, and laundry area are shared with the other residents of Villa Torrent. There are additional shared outdoor spaces, including a lounge area and a large table for outdoor dining.
You can park your car free of charge under the covered carport near the entrance to the property.
The host lives at Villa Torrent, so he’s nearby if you need anything or have a question during your stay. He knows the area well and is always happy to share his favorite walking routes, nature spots, restaurants, and other places worth discovering nearby.
Villa Torrent has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Your host also loves to cook, so don’t be surprised if something homemade or the occasional Dutch treat finds its way to you. Of course, how much interaction you’d like is entirely up to you, and you’ll otherwise have the privacy of your own house and garden.
Other things to note
Casa Elja is in a rural location, so having a car is highly recommended. It makes getting to supermarkets, restaurants, Valencia, and other places in the region much easier.
The host’s three friendly dogs also live on the property. They normally stay in their own area and do not have access to Casa Elja’s private garden, although you may occasionally see them in other areas of the property.
Casa Elja is especially popular for its peaceful setting, space, and countryside surroundings. You’ll be staying among greenery, fruit trees, and nature while still being within easy driving distance of Valencia and everyday amenities.
