Centrally located in old Torquay, this beautiful home is ready to welcome you for holidays or executive stays. Treetop and ocean views forge a visual connection to the local environment, thanks to extensive glazing that provides light-filled living. Design features include high-pitched cathedral ceilings, burnished concrete flooring and Silvertop Ash timber decking.
Spacious and architecturally designed, ‘Surf and Sea’ boasts quality finishes and abundant natural light. Ascending the timber staircase, the bright open plan upper floor has a laid back coastal contemporary feel, characterised by Oak timber floors and fresh white interiors. A well-equipped kitchen makes cooking a breeze, fitted with a 900mm oven, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine plus essentials and cookware. Enjoy meals together at the 6-seater dining table, then curl up on the comfy lounge for movies on the Smart TV (Netflix connectivity).
Open up the full span stacker doors to enjoy seamless indoor-outdoor living on the north deck. Sunny and sheltered, this will be the site for BBQ’s and alfresco dining from sunrise ‘til sunset. Also upstairs is a dedicated home office nook and a guest powder room for convenience and functionality.
Five split system heating-cooling units provide climate comfort to every bedroom and both living rooms, plus ceiling fans in ground floor bedrooms. All 3 bedrooms are beautifully appointed with hotel quality sheets and towels to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Upstairs, the Queen master bedroom opens onto a private upper balcony with sea views, a great spot for a morning coffee or evening wine. Catch sight of the ocean beyond Taylor Park from this parent’s retreat, with stacker doors extending the liveable space outside. Set well apart from the ground floor bedrooms, this room has a walk-in robe and a spacious ensuite with oversized in-situ shower and stone-topped vanity.
The two ground floor bedrooms offer luxurious Queen beds. The third bedroom also has a desk for working from home requirements. A Queen Sofa bed is also available in the rumpus room. (Please note linen is provided but it will not be made up). A central bathroom has an in-situ shower, bath, stone vanity and toilet, plus there’s an additional guest powder room on the first floor.
Families please note a highchair, safety gates for the stairs and portacot is available (BYO cot linen).
Relax downstairs in the 2nd living room/rumpus, set up with a Smart TV (Netflix connectivity), couch (converts to Queen sofa bed) and a piano. Sliding doors link to the sunny deck and outdoor furniture, with lawn for the kids to play. A well-behaved small dog is welcome by request at the time of booking (subject to $50 pet fee and agreement to House Rules).
The laundry has a washing machine (no clothes dryer). The garage is locked – but you will have off-street parking for 1 car in the driveway, and parking on the street.
Well-presented with a classic, coastal feel, this home is only 650m to Fisherman’s Beach and ideally suited to families who want close access and walkability to central Torquay shops, dining and beaches. Close to all the action, you will have your toes in the sand within minutes; ‘Surf and Sea’ is made for beach holidays!

Guest Access: Guests will have access to the whole property, excluding the locked garage. Off-street parking for 1 car in the driveway, and free parking on the street.
The Neighborhood: This townhouse is located in a safe and friendly neighbourhood. Ideal for both the adventurous and those who want to kick back and relax.
All within the immediate area: surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, SUPing (Stand Up Paddle), diving, bike riding, running paths, skateboarding and golf or sitting back and if relaxing is more your thing then chose from many of the beautiful surrounding beaches, parklands, cafes, bars, restaurants, spas, shops or designer boutiques to spend your time.

If you would like to go out for brunch, lunch, dinner, tapas or a few drinks, there are great cafes and wine bars in abundance all within 10-15 minutes’ walk. Many places have ‘Happy Hour’. Gilbert Street and its surrounds is a great little area to explore, as well as Bell St dining precinct.
There are numerous little boutiques, and anything you could want in clothing, shoes, swimwear, books, homewares and much more.
Surf City Plaza is home to iconic surfing brands such as Quiksilver and Rip Curl (both of which originated in Torquay). There are also many other iconic brands in the Plaza. Head around the corner to Baines Crescent and find a variety of factory outlets.
You will find everything you need for a fabulous holiday all within a short walk.
Torquay has a beautiful coastline for walking, swimming and surfing. Enjoy the glorious walks along the Esplanade and beach front, especially the walk to Jan Juc.
As well as Torquay’s famous surf beaches there are family-friendly beaches. During the summer season lifeguards patrol at various locations including Torquay Back Beach, Cosy Corner and Jan Juc Beach. Fisherman’s Beach is not patrolled but is a relatively safe beach with a wide shallow bar.
Getting Around: Our beach house is within easy walking/riding distance to Fisherman’s Beach (650m) and the main street shops, cafés, supermarkets, and boutiques. Surf City Plaza is only 300m away, for shopping at Rip Curl, Quiksilver, Roxy and all the top surf and skate brands. Off-street parking for 1 car in the driveway. Plenty of parking on the street.
Closest train station approx 25km away (Waurn Ponds station) for V/Line train Waurn Ponds- Melbourne.
Torquay is 1 hour 30 mins by car from Melbourne.
