Coastel retreat - 2 guests - 5 minute walk to Maidencombe beach. Tranquil 1 bedroom retreat with ensuite walk in shower. Private entrance ensuring complete privacy. Private garden offering serene valley views. Fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. Nestled in between Torquay and Teignmouth, Rosemary Cottage Annex is a one bedroom thatched cottage that's cosy and enormously inviting. This cottage has been renovated specifically as a holiday retreat with everything you need for a great Devon getaway.

The clever open plan layout of this property means that everything is on hand from the cute kitchen, the dining area or watching TV from the two-seater sofa. The master bedroom has a welcoming double bed and offers direct access to an enclosed garden area with a table and chairs that make it a tempting place to pass a couple of hours. This is a fine spot from which to soak up the views under the summer sun.

Parking is on a private drive at the side of the cottage. The cottage also benefits from wi fi for those who cant live without their technology.

A 15 minute short walk away is the highly rated village pub in the centre of one of South Devon's most picturesque villages of Stokeinteignhead, with its thatched cottages and rural atmosphere. Opposite the pub is the volunteer run village shop to enable you to stock up on essential supplies and local produce, or the Thatched Tavern pub at Maidencombe along with the beach, cafe and paddle board hire. There are also many outdoor activities within the area including horse riding, golf and kayaking to name a few.

The cottage is situated in an ideal location, whether you wish to make a short trip to the seaside or make it an active day on the South West Coast Path. You are just a few miles away from the spectacular views and walks on Dartmoor. For those who want some retail therapy you are close to the historic city of Exeter, the market town of Newton Abbot and the famous Torquay English Riviera and harbour.

Mooie uitvalsbasis

Een compact huisje, met de belangrijkste voorzieningen. Goede bedden. Het (zit)meubilair is wel wat verouderd. Voor ons was het een mooie uitvalsbasis voor verschillende dagtochten.

Great little cottage

Our stay at Rosemary Cottage Annex was very comfortable. The bed was so nice, and the cottage was spotless. Beware the cottage is down a steep lane, but once there the view is well worth it. It would have been nice to have salt and pepper and coffee and tea available, amenities we have had at every other accommodation we stayed at during our tour of the U.K.

Ein Kleinod in einer herrlichen Landschaft.

Wir haben die Tage in diesem kleinen Cottage genossen. Es ist etwas klein aber gerade dies entwickelt auch seinen ganz eigenen Charme. Die Untekunft ist ideal für Tagestouren in Süd Devon oder den östlichen Teil Cornwalls. Neil und Nikky sind äußerst nette und liebevolle Vermieter, die einem bei allen Fragen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stehen. Wir danken Ihnen für die schönen Momente.

Perfect retreat!

Perfect property for a couple’s retreat. Ideally located, Torquay, Teignmouth within 15 minutes drive of the property, with Maidencombe beach and pub 5 minutes. Cottage is clean and has everything needed for a holiday. Neil was helpful with a couple of questions pre the holiday and was around if required during our stay. Will definitely look to come back at some point. Richard and Julie.

Annexe was very welcoming. Exceptionally clean and well equipped. It would have been nice and useful to have a bedside lamp, then the person near the wall could read, but not have to get out of bed to turn off the main light. Otherwise great stay. Would happily recommend

Rosemary Cottage Annex

This beautiful cottage is located in a quiet and impressive landscape. Within 15 Minutes walking distance you can reach the beach and a very nice Pub (The thatched Tavern). We enjoyed our stay very much in July / August 2024.

Kleine cottage, goed te doen met z’n tweeën voor een week .

Mooi omgeving veel te doen en te bekijken, vlakbij bij mooie stranden en op 1,4 km een goede Pub om te eten en drinken , niet veel op loop afstand.

Perfect little cottage

Perfecte Host en switch

We had a lovely stay at Rosemary Cottage Annexe, impeccably clean, very picturesque area, didn't need to use the car much which we loved, got lots of steps in! 20 mins walk to nearby cove with lovely beach cafe, and had a fabulous meal in The Thatched Inn 😍

Fabulous cottage

A beautifully presented cottage in a timeless country village providing everything we could have wanted from a Devon escape. Clean and modern within the cosy thatch and the thick stone walls set in a country lane with easy to reach pubs and amazing scenery all around. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great Stay

Great stay at Rosemary Cottage. Owner Neil was on hand if you needed anything. Perfect for our 5 days in Devon , visiting for a wedding at Cockington (approx 6 miles away). Really quiet place, well equipped for self catering. Farm next door sold organic eggs, milk etc which was handy. Nice little back garden at the property, with a nice view over the surrounding countryside. Driving was fun with some very small roads and sharp bends!

Fabulous Stay in Quaint Village

The cottage was located in a fabulous village, with a short walk to the Thatched Inn pub and the wonderful cove of Maidencombe which was a hidden gem. Neil our host was so friendly and gave us some great local tips and nothing was to much trouble.
