"Loved the location, the staff and the restaurant was wonderful. I could have been more attentive to the room I was booking which was on the lower level - Family room - in the cottage. Great for a family stay but not quite the more romantic stay we had intended. Still a great place to go - short walk to Bowdoin."

"Improve the parking lot. 1 bottle of water in the room will be nice"

"There were two areas on the ceiling that were bubbled and chipped. The rug was spotted and stained. There were holes around the baseboards. The place was shabby."

"Breakfast was wonderful, property was clean and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Stayed for 2 nights and we loved every minute of it. I was a HIE girl until now, I well be changing to Hampton."

"Reasonably clean property but there seemed to be a lot of corners being cut. Checked in at around 10:30 pm after a long cross country flight. There were no sheets on the sofa bed or the comforter pack in either of the two rooms we booked, so we dealt with that. Next morning went in for a shower and the shampoo was all empty - nothing at all. Went downstairs and there were no glasses for water. Overall it is a clean property but has a lot of quality issues in their service. And the staff...

"The rooms need much better cleaning; especially, the bathrooms. We heard the same from other guests. There was zero contact with the host, you are on your own."
