"Lovely old mountain house with great pizza oven and stone built BBQ. The gardens are great and the pool was amazing. THAT VIEW!! you feel like you are swimming in the mountains. We even saw fire flies at night. "

"Die Casa Metato liegt oberhalb von Castiglione di Garfagnana, man hat einen fantastischen Blick auf das Tal und die umliegenden Berge. Das Haus selbst ist blitzsauber und mit allem, was man für die Selbstversorgung benötigt, ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufmerksam. Gabriele hat uns über WhatsApp mit sehr guten Ausflugstipps versorgt und seine Eltern haben uns überaus freundlich begrüßt. "Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit einem tollen Gastgeber! Die Mühle ist sehr gemütlich, der Pool ist großartig und wird regelmäßig gereinigt, Ausflüge wie zB nach Lucca sind von hier gut möglich. Der Ort ist nicht touristisch, bedeutet allerdings auch dass es wenig Gastronomie gibt - und vor allem kein TakeAway. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen :-)"

"The cottage is wonderful for getting away from it all. Comfy bed, wifi, brilliant host, a varied selection of wildlife and animals! The location is really off the beaten track, the last road to the parking is very narrow with tight bends. We walked down the ancient path to the medieval bridge a couple of times, steep but great views. Very peaceful place, thoroughly recommended."

"Such a beautiful property in a stunning location. Ilario gave us a warm welcome upon arrival and made sure we had all the information we would need for our stay. We had a super week as a family of 5 adults, enjoying the views whilst having an apperitivo under the veranda or swimming in the fantastic pool. The villa is well equipped and very clean! "Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt, das Haus mit Garten und Pool ist super schön. Es ist sehr ruhig, man kann sich gut erholen und wir hatten eine tolle Zeit! Da wir zum Beginn der Saison (Ende Mai) waren, waren das Haus und der Pool anfangs richtig kalt, aber mit dem sonnigen Wetter ist alles wärmer geworden. Die Anfahrt ist abenteuerlich aber auch besonders. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. "

"We had a lovely holiday (family with 5 kids, age 11 to 23), peaceful and quiet and with the option to go out for a good meal nearby. Culture and swimming to be found with a car ride of 20 min, a beautiful mountain lake for swimming and nice little towns. Lucca and other more touristic places are a bit further, still good to do by car. The house and garden are spacious with all you need for a relaxing holiday.
