Deeply Disappointing
I’m disgusted by this rental. The WiFi does not work and I came here for a quiet place to work. The ad clearly states WiFi is available. Only the “community” WiFi is an option and it is out of service. There was a box of bathroom garbage on the kitchen counter. There are several light bulbs missing most importantly — the bedroom had absolutely no working light. I had to take the lamp from the living room, leaving THAT room with no light. All but one of the 4 bathroom vanity lights are out and it reeks of urine. The sheets have 2 gigantic stains on them. I had to strip the bed and sleep in a sleeping bag I luckily had in my car. I have nowhere else to go this weekend and a lot to get done. I’m paying almost $500 to be unhappy and do repairs for this owner. I was given the wrong number for a local contact and in fact, the wrong number is still in the welcome letter I was sent. Update: the next morning, I was able to take the lamp into the kitchen, inspect it, and found the plug completely corroded, I use a knife to scrape off some of the corrosion and got the lamp to function. Update 2: I was finally contacted by a local person who works for the owner who told me to change the sheets and lightbulbs myself…!!! Stay away.

There will be NO wifi or A/C in your unit. I read it in a review and still rented the property thinking that my unit would have Wi-Fi it did not. it also did not have air conditioning so when we arrived the unit was very hot. The staff is not friendly or helpful. expect strict rules and fines if you do not obey them. this place is no good for people who smoke. The standard fine is 100 dlls. I saw 2 families get fined for stupid stuff like kids in the jacuzzi.

Great location,easy beach access. The villa we stayed at could have been cleaner. Especially the bathroom. Screen sliding door was off its hinges and did not work. Other than that the property was super nice and we will return.

Perfect getaway
The condo was just perfect, just a couple of steps from the beach and you can hear the sound of the waves! The place was clean and had a lot of amenities that are always a must! From blankets, pillows, kitchen items, everything! We want to come back during the summer!

Poor communication
Poor communication with owner He said there were beach chairs, keurig pods provided. We only found 2 patio chairs not very comfortable to carry to beach. No pods. Owner reimbursed $20 but No pods available at the market. Ended up buying instant coffee. 😩. We could have taken own chairs and pods if correct information was provided. On the cleanliness, drawers and cupboard disorganized and dirty. Everything else was good.

Nice Property with View, but... be Aware of a Few Things
The property itself was nice with a lovely ocean view from the balcony. The security and staff on the property are very friendly and good. Nice walking pathway along a private beach. Location is centrally located to Rosarito. About a 20-30 minute drive to Puerto Nuevo. The condo unit itself is rather dated and can definitely use some TLC. I am basing my review on the cost per night, and for what is charged it is a good enough value. That said, it was found in clean condition and well appointed as far as dishes, microwave, etc. However, don't count on Keurig pods, they were not stocked. My biggest complaint is that I checked with the owner prior to booking and even a 2nd time after booking to confirm that there was wifi available in the unit. I needed to work a bit some mornings/evenings. I was advised it was just okay and not to plan on Zoom meetings. That for that sort of thing the clubhouses were better suited. I only needed to check email and some light internet connectivity. The wifi in the unit itself NEVER worked. I advised the property manager as well. The one clubhouse closest to the unit I was able to get 4-5 mbps. Even that in the unit would have been nice. When I contacted the owner about it I never received a reply about it. Looking at some other reviews this has been noted from as far back as 2014 & 2019. Advertising wifi in the unit when it is not isn't right. The bed itself is comfortable. I suggest bringing your own pillow(s) if that sort of thing matters to you. Go into the rental understanding what it is and that for the $$ it's a decent value. Be okay without wifi in the unit and you should have a good time.

Nice place to stay
This is the second time staying here. Really enjoy our stay. Close to Rosarito. Security there so you feel safe. Pool and jacuzzi are available. The beach is really nice and private

Nice and Close to the beach
I just didn’t like that the water was not that hot and you all should get a smart TV so people can put on Netflix otherwise it was just all Hispanic channels. : ( . And I did not like the fact that to get a parking permit I had to give up my drivers license for the weekend. But very nice place. Cozy bed too.

Rosarito weekend
The gardens were beautiful. We could see and hear the ocean from our room. We parked in a handicap space and we're given a written warning by security that we could not park there although we have a permanent handicap licenseplate. Their policy should be put in writing in plain view. The other issue was that we had no hot water to take showers on Saturday and Sunday. Wifi didnt work so we couldn't communicate with manager. I liked the location and the property restaurant was delicious and convenient although there was no parking for the restaurant.

Nice summer vacation
2nd time we stay in this apartment, we note some improvements in the room light and overall cleaning. We had a very nice time on the beach and on the pool area! 24hr security. Everything excellent. Definitely we are coming back soon.

The Paloma is always a guarantee. Very nice place and grounds are kept beautifully.
The condo was very nice, clean and had a great view of the ocean. Unit is on a second floor. It had everything we needed. Bed is comfortable and the sofa bed was great for my 2 kids.

Pleasantly Surprised
First time on this property for memorial weekend and we were impressed. From day 1 checking in was easy, condo was cute, and security does make you safe and comfortable. I will definitely stay at this property again.

Nice place for families..
We had very good experience overall, La Paloma is a very nice place, the apartment is very close to the beach access, beach was very clean by the way, few people.. as well very close of two of the pools. The water temperature of the pool was nice even the weather was not too sunny. The place is small but was ok for our family of 4. I found everything very good, except the main room carpet I felt wasn’t clean enough. Please do not park on another spot different than yours you are going to be fine. Very good in general. We are thinking on coming back soon.

I love that I didn’t have to wait for anyone to give me the key. We simply entered the code and we’re able to retrieve it. Felt safe that it was a gated community. And check out was such a breeze

Rustic grounds
The grounds were a bit rustic. The inside of the condo was cute but needs some maintenace . The kitchen sink door was broken, a few patio chairs were ripped, the ac was not working well. We did not mind the minor issues however wouldn't rent place again. I would try a different condo on the same grounds.

Great location, very private with nice ocean views
Traveling as a single woman I felt very safe in the complex. The unit is quite spacious with nice ocean views. Location of complex is ideal. A few minutes walk down the beach and you’re in Rosarito or $1 bus ride to Puerto Nuevo for lobster. Comfortable, quiet clean unit with wonderful water pressure in shower. Highly recommend this rental.

Great place!
I love La Paloma homes. This is my second time staying at this resort and each experience has been great. This is an upstairs unit with a nice view of the beach. It’s not super close to the pools and jacuzzis but it’s located on the outter part of the grounds so it’s nice and quiet. Recommend bringing your own towels (as always) but overall a very nice stay!!

Just as expected...GREAT!
I've stayed at La Paloma before and got exactly what I expected. This is an upstairs unit with a side view of the ocean. This time on my visit, the restaurant was open and what a treat that was. We had Mexican huevos rancheros and huevos a la Mexicana along with some natural fruit smoothies. So good. They can deliver to your room too. We even made friends with some very friendly cats that seem to live in the complex. It was nice to see how happy and at ease the young cats are in this little slice of paradise. The unit had lots of extra blankets and towels, a full kitchen, and enough space for the 4 of us. I would definitely stay here again. The key compartment was a bit tricky and probably needs an update as we spent a good 15 minutes on the floor trying to get the key out, and then again another 5 minutes trying to fit it all back in when we left, but all in all, a total 5!

Property was next to where we spent the majority of our weekend, Papas and Beer, but still a good distance away from the chaos. Clean, instructions to get into the home were clear. I'd definitely come back :)

Fantastic stay
Had a great weekend getaway. The grounds of La Paloma are beautifully kept. Loved the beach access and walkability from the property to town along the beach. The restaurant on site - mama Mia - was surprisingly very good!!!! Go for afternoon snacks or dinner when Israel is working, you won't be disappointed :) Condo was even nicer in person - comfy bed!! Loved having coffee on the balcony with an ocean view. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Rosarito!!!

Beautiful as always!
Stayed at this condo again for the 3rd time, the views from the balcony are incredible. Everything was very clean, linens, bedding, the condo was overall very clean. They still have a very nice strong fan in the living room and added the sofa bed which was quite comfortable. I was looking forward to the queen size bed and it did not disappoint, it is amazingly comfortable. It was nice that they added a small fan to the bedroom. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the cable was not working very well in the living room but good in the bedroom. Yes, I know we didn't come to Rosarito to watch T.V. but to wake up early morning with a cup of coffee or late night relaxing at the end of a day is when we watch T.V. Other than for that reason, the 1 bedroom is very comfortable and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place or family orientated condo

We found the cable going to living room was damaged and fixed it. Thanks for the feedback, no one ever said anything!

Great Location
The property was clean, neat and well equipped. Location is outstanding @1/4 mi south of Rosarita Hotel/pier. The owner was great to deal with and the refund of the deposit was made quickly. We have stayed here twice before and plan to stay again.
