Falsely Advertised and no help from VRBO or property owner
We checked into the home later in the day around 7 PM to find there was no hot tub - which was advertised on the site. When I messaged the host to ask about this, apparently this was "my fault" as there are no photos or reviews about a hot tub on the listing, so how stupid of me to assume there was a hot tub just because it was listed as an amenity. Instead of an apology, Sheila continued to say "I don't know what you want me to do - I cant install a hot tub. You can check out tonight and get a full refund." We had been driving for over 6 hours with my elderly mother (who had flown in from New York) and 10 month old who needed to go to sleep - everywhere in the surrounding area was booked - there was no where else to go. With no other options, we had to stay and the owner begrudgingly refunded me a little less than $300 for an expensive stay for three nights. Unprofessional, unapologetic, and unwilling to help. I'm trying to file a case with the Better Business Bureau for VRBO to refund me and she won't even help me get documentation. She's arrogant and rude and shouldn't be in customer service. Don't stay here. Oh and also the fireplace didn't work. So glad I spent our entire vacation fund on this place. What a let down.

Outstanding home about 5 minutes from Sequoia NP. Easy to find and very well maintained. There are somewhat limited restaurant options so we recommend cooking. The kitchen is very good with all needed items.

This house was perfect! Stocked with everything youll need for your stay. Kitchen needs, bathroom products, laundry, games etc. Such a beautiful place and only a few minutes from the park!!

Sequoia Kings Canyon trip
The location is absolutely the best for visiting the parks, its just outside the entrance on the main road. We stayed 3 nights. Kitchen is big, fully equipped, we cooked two nights. We loved the rooftop patio, you can see Morro Rock and the neighbors propane tanks. Beds were comfortable. Everything in working order. Its not fancy but perfect for our stay. I'd recommend to any group planning to visit the parks.

Comfortable cabin
We enjoyed our stay. The place was overall clean and orderly . We did not cook meals it seemed that it had all necessary items. One thing that we did not like was the fact that there was a light in the living room that was on a timer and this turned on at a specific time and turned off at 10pm-it was unswitchable. No Smart TV options to watch Netflix etc., they did have Direct TV. One of the conditioner bottles provided was empty -but luckily my daughter took her own toiletries. We personally did not find the beds very comfortable as they were too soft-but for some that may be a preference. The Backyard was mainly brush not really a place to play -this could have been due to the season. Having a well working central A/C was great since it was in the 90 degree weather when we went. Despite the very few issues, this property is comfortable for a family to have an enjoyable mini vacation at sequoia.

Lovely weekend at this beautiful home
This home is even more beautiful than the photos! It's gorgeous, clean, cozy, and spacious. It had everything we needed for a great weekend with friends. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, making a fire in the fireplace, playing board games, and relaxing in a peaceful setting. It was so easy to access Sequoia National Park, too. I would stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was exactly as advertised and perfect for our girls trip to Sequoia and Kings. We loved star gazing on the roof patio.

Comfy and clean
We loved our experience here! The house is great, nice and comfy. The property is away so you have quiet time. Close to the park entrance and less than an hour from the main highlights of the park. The town and stores are close as well. Beds were good, water was hot. Only improvements I would recommend is better cooking pans and adding grips to the tub because it was really slippery while showering.

Very homey
We feel very homey at this home. It's adorable to be close to the park and to have an opportunity to visit the park at any time. The little roof patio was great. We watched the stars with a glass of wine after long days in the park. We enjoyed our stay, and we will come back to this place if we will decide to visit Sequoia park again

Great Place & Property!!
Excellent space inside, plenty of room outside. Nice private lot just one mile from Sequoia Nat’l Park entrance. A/C system worked well & the carport was nice bonus. Cable TV. If you want to spend 2 - 3 days in the Nat’l Parks, this is the perfect place to stay. Would like to bring my family back again, someday.

We loved this home
We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival to this property. It was extremely clean, was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The layout was perfect for our family as grandma could stay in the master suite on the other side of the house while the other couple and granddaughter could stay on the other side of the house. Giving us all some privacy as needed. Would highly recommend renting this home to all. We also enjoyed the restaurants and coffee shops and so forth in town. It was challenging going up and down to the sequoias however due to the wind the roads going up toward lodgepole area and so on. Thank you so much for opening your home to our family.

Great house and location
We loved this house, even better in person. The roof deck was our favorite spot, we drank coffee in the mornings there and enjoyed the stars at night. Great location outside of the state park.

Location of property was ideal for visiting the park. Had a bear try to break into the recycle bin, without success. Only negative was ants in the bedroom with twin beds and in the kitchen.

Nice location near entrance of Sequoia National Park
Nice, roomy home on large, pretty property. Can see deer every morning and the roof top terrace was nice. It’s very close to the entrance of sequoia. The secondary bedroom beds were not comfortable at all and the rooms would get hot if the door was closed. Thankfully there’s a filtration system on the water faucet in the kitchen since it’s not on city water and the well water is pretty strong smelling. House was kept clean, but we felt like it needs some updating and maybe some more comfortable seating in the living room. Overall though, we would recommend to others. Enjoyed our stay.

It was cozy and super clean. Exceeded my expectations in all areas but mattresses. Mattresses in 2nd and 3rd bedroom were terrible and one of our family members could not sleep on it! You have to change those mattresses!

Great location
1st of all, the property manager was very accommodating. Easy check in and check out. GREAT location. Very close to the gate. The only thing I would add is that there was no instructions on how to operate a DVD player, and their master bathroom could use little improvement. Other than that, it was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay!

Had a great 2 night stay! Amble bedrooms and bathrooms, nice sized kitchen with plenty of tools for cooking (bring your own oil, butter, etc.). Super convenient to the park, took maybe 45 seconds by car to reach the gate. Would absolutely stay here again.

This location is as promised by all the previous reviews! 5 mins away from sequoia’s entrance, private property and spacious and clean! Stayed there with 5 adults and 2 kids and everyone felt comfortable. Not once did anyone feel cramped. During our stay the weather was in the high 90s, and the house was out safe haven from the heat. The experience was overall better than expected and we would definitely do it again!

Great family vacation!
We had a great family vacation at Oak Tree Hollow! The location at the park entrance was perfect. We also enjoyed white water rafting and boating on Lake Kaweah nearby. The upstairs patio was lovely in the evening (except the last night the mosquitoes decided to swarm us! Bring citronella!). The kitchen was great for cooking - lots of space, everything we needed was there. I stayed in the guest bedroom with the full-size bed, which I found very comfortable. As for the master bedroom, my friends did complain about the bed caving inward so they always woke up on top of each other. The master bedroom is the only bedroom with a ceiling fan, but also the closest the the A/C, so it gets the coolest overall. If you are staying in one of the other bedrooms, I suggest bringing a portable fan as they can get a bit stuffy while the master will be very cool. Otherwise, great experience! Instructions and informational book were very thorough and helpful!

Peaceful, Clean, and perfect location!
Only a mile or so from park, very clean and peaceful! Covered parking are in case of rain and easy to unload car. Very large three bedrooms with two queens and two twin beds plus huge couch! Could easily have 6 adults and kids! Located near restaurant and near the river (across the street). Lots of firewood if your going to use wood stove! Great stay!!

Pretty good stay there. The house is clean and very comfortable. Just a few mins to Sequoia National Park. Deers usually visits in the morning. The rooms are clean and instructions from owner is available in detail. Highly recommended.

Great location
Overall it met our expectations, but didn't blow them away. The house had a musty odor, and water had a strong sulphuric smell which I guess is normal for the area. The reason I can't give a 5 star rating was due to the awfully uncomfortable mattresses. Otherwise the location was fantastic and the home provided a great base for our family to visit Sequoia.

Very comfortable, great location with short drive to Sequoia entrance. AC works well. The only minor downside was the showers- one was low water pressure and the other had great water pressure but had a high squeaky noise from the pipes. But it did not dampen our enjoyment or stay (no pun intended).
