The Cottage: Situated in Cashel on the shores of the Bertrachtboy bay, this well appointed modern bungalow has wonderful views of the surrounding area. Although there is no sandy beach the sea shore nearby is great for exploring rock pools and watching the abundant birdlife. A great place for walking or for a quiet relaxed holiday the area has changed little in the last number of years and retains the charm that rural Ireland was once famous for. You need a car to get to the shops in Roundstone or Clifden but the nearby Zetland and Cashel House Hotels (3.5m) provide a venue for an evening drink or meal. The Cashel house hotel has beautiful gardens which you can take a stroll around coupled with a nice lunch at any time of year. The Zetland hotel has the Gowla fishery which would make a fine afternoon or evenings trout fishing.The nearest sandy beaches are the famous dogs bay in Roundstone which is seven miles away where you will also find some interesting shops, restaurants and pubs including O’Dowds with its seafood chowder that is now world famous. The accommodation would suit two families which makes renting this property very affordable.
