"At nearly $500 for the night I expected way more as my family generally stays at home2suites with much better results at a fraction of this, but guess it is all about location. Room was on the 4th floor and we had a very difficult time getting the kids asleep due to the very rowdy and loud group outside going well past 11 p.m. Breakfast was very poor considering the typical options offered at the other home2suites we have visited. "Quite disappointed with our stay - we had 2 rooms: my wife, child, myself in 428 and my parents in 309 3 night stay (6/29/26 - 7/1/26) . The issues were numerous:
Fire alarm went off 3 times - twice in the middle of the night causing evacuation- traumatic to our child and no restful sleep.
1 of 2 room reservation couldn’t be found. They booked the stay but only one night which caused keys to stop working requiring more front desk time

"Our stay at Spillway Lodge in Bellaire, Michigan was truly outstanding from start to finish. The rental was spotless, beautifully designed, and clearly maintained with great care. Every detail felt thoughtful—from the comfortable furnishings to the fully stocked kitchen and cozy outdoor space. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful setting while still being close to downtown, Torch Lake, and all the charm the area has to offer.
