"Host Debbie was very welcoming, the room was very clean and the bed linen very fresh. The room could do with a little TLC with a wonky toilet seat, shower door loose and the creeking floor boards that added character to the room. Hotel is located to easy access all Skipton amenities and surrounding area. I would recommend this hotel."

"The location on the canal and picturesque countryside made a beautiful setting for dining in the conservatory. The food was consistently very good, the staff friendly and I enjoyed using the pool. "

"We stayed for 12! Days it was so good. Beautiful property in the heart of North Yorkshire - amazing selection of breakfast. Clean rooms and family-run, friendly service. Sometimes we had to ask repeatedly for clean towels - and we don’t change them everyday. Beds were old and could use updating for comfort. Otherwise - would highly recommend! "

"This is a lovely quaint, quiet country inn/accomodation, which is on its way to be something special. The welcome, cust service and food were top notch. The owners have just recently taken over and you can see how wonderful this place is going to be, with everything being made future proof. They are updating it whilst still providing a wonderful experience. It’s also dog friendly in the bedrooms too (with beds and snacks for your K9 friend). I will definitely be going back. Ooh, and the chef...

"Perfect stay at the Alma. All staff were helpful and nothing was to much trouble. All friendly and personable. Rooms were very spacious with excellent views over the moors. Would highly recommend."

"First time staying at this lovely 16th century hotel in beautiful Burnsall. Everything about my visit went well, my room was lovely, clean and comfortable. As a sole older woman traveller, some hotels are less accepting of the fact I'm by myself but the staff here were kind and friendly and it makes a huge difference. I will definitely go back. "

"Everything was absolutely great. We have travelled all over the world and we are now in our 70's. This must be in the top three or four we've have stayed in. Quality, value for money, pleasant staff. Wonderful stay"

"We had a very relaxing stay which is just what we needed… We had a meal the first night which was lovely….we did find the drinks at the bar a little on the expensive side compared to other places we had called into in Grassington "

"The hotel is in a great location in the center of Ilkley, staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate and had everything you need (including a coffee machine). Cooked Breakfast was excellent. Parking was limited but its right next to a large pay and display"
