"Runa farm was excellent the cottage was amazing we had a lovely Xmas dinner with all our family I added an extra basic room before checkin , which was upgraded to a room right next to the cottage with Jacuzzi. Was a very nice treat from runa farm which made our stay even better will be booking next year definitely "

"Very spacious well equipped cottage situated just off the main street of Barnard Castle right by the parish church. We were able to check in early, which was a big help, and when we arrived we delighted to see how spotlessly clean it was. The beds and furnishing were comfortable and would have no hesitation in reccommending the cottage to our friends and family"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful, the receptionist had booked guests in a million times and was very efficient. The young waitress who served me was originally from Kent and l recognised her accent from coming from where l used to live. My room 101 was a nice location, full view of the Scotch Corner roundabout and could see the snow and when it was clear so l could get on my way to continue my journey to Scotland. "Clean spacious room. Staff very friendly. Shower room and decor in general could do with update. But all in all value for money. "

"This was our 2nd stay. Staff friendly room was great. Rooms nice and warm on a cold December night looking out over market square. Staff great so honest I lost my ring and it was found in the room. I was so grateful the ring was so sentimental to me. I emailed the owner Jon and he replied straight away. I will definitely stay here again."

"The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again."
